Captain America
Character » Captain America appears in 11750 issues.
During World War II, Steve Rogers volunteered to receive the experimental Super-Soldier Serum. Enhanced to the pinnacle of human physical potential and armed with an unbreakable shield, he became Captain America. After a failed mission left him encased in ice for decades, he was found and revived by the Avengers, later joining their ranks and eventually becoming the team's leader.
How Will Captain America Look in the Movie?
Like I figured, they're making it like the Ultimates costume. I think it's a good call, and makes the costume look plausible.
Overall, it's looking good.
I really think it looks good compared to what they could have done. Really stuck to the original Ultimates design for that era. I am sure we will see the old shield in the movie at least referenced to. I am not loving the pants, the sort of design they have on it doesn't need to happen. I think they felt it would be too plain but thats ok.
i perfer good 'ol cap as a character, but how he looked in the first couple issues of the Ultimates is easier to make look respectable. I mean, did anyone even peek at that campy 90's abomination? he looked rediculous!
f____king amazing, looks better that what I had in mind. the wings arent a problem for me but looks great. The "This A stands for France" better
I like both costumes. But, they need to have wings because they are a traditional and important part of who Captain America is. One of his nicknames is "the winged avenger". How can he be that if his costume no longer has wings? Batman wouldn't be Batman without bat ears and Daredevil wouldn't be Daredevil without his horns. Therefore, we need to see the wings on Captain America's costume.
I'm not worried, from that design someone drew, it looks amazing, the only thing that annoys me just a bit is that I wish there was one more red strip down the middle and I've be fine xD
But this looks great, and from the description, they seem to be doing there best to base things off of the comics. I do agree that I think they'll use the painted ears, if they can give Iron Man his suitcase armor, I want my dang ears :P
I'd got the Ultimate route and do the army style unifrom for the flashbacks and then for current times, use the ones we've seen...
any way u slice it, Cap's gunna look like a big dork on screen... But, my only question is: why do the boots gloves have to be BROWN??? everything else is red, white & blue... shouldn't they be coordinating this better?
bleh dont like this at all .cap reborn ww2 stuff was fine why mess with a icon. bat man they updated for the time but it still looked like batman. this looks to me that their trying to aim the costume tword just 2010 not ww2 era . that costume any of them posted will look like a fish out of water in that era.
Wow, I love that costume. It's everything Cap should be; simple, daunting, to the point, and above all; red, white and blue.
i don't know bout this costume i like thor's better then this one. tooo much lather. i like thor costume.
He looks too heavily armored. Makes the super solider serum look pointless if he's going to have all that armor on. And he definitely needs his wings even if there painted on there. All together I think Chris Evans is just the wrong choice for this role. I really have a hard time seeing him as a tough as nails WWII superman. My top picks would have to be 1) John Cena (watch the marine, 12 rounds, and just look at the guy on WWE.com he screams americana) 2) Kevin Sorbo (watch Andromeda and think of him wearing red, white and blue) 3) Russell Crowe (tough guy enough for the role) 4) Jerry O' Donnell and 5) Ben Affleck (they look like they could be from the 1940's)
