During World War II, Steve Rogers volunteered to receive the experimental Super-Soldier Serum. Enhanced to the pinnacle of human physical potential and armed with an unbreakable shield, he became Captain America. After a failed mission left him encased in ice for decades, he was found and revived by the Avengers, later joining their ranks and eventually becoming the team's leader.
And if he does how does he exactly land. On his Shield or do his feet actually make contact with the ground?
Came up in a discussion I had with a friend.
I don't read or know much extensive information about the character's durability feats other than he regularly absorbs massive impact damage with his Shield.
P.S This has zero to do with the Captain America: Winter Soldier scene in the trailer. I am aware of how he landed in a massivebody of water in such an instance. I am actually quite curious as to how this effects a descent upon rock solid ground.

Please and Thank You.
Cap's capable of landing from great heights - and often landing on his feet. The character has pretty impressive durability against blunt-force. In the two scans below, Cap jumps off a helicopter from a height of two hundred-feet, makes a shield throw, and then lands on a car.
In this next showing, Cap jumps out of a plane, while making flips in midair before landing on his feet from what looks to be at least 100 ft.
And then here's another one of Cap jumping out a copter without a parachute:
Perhaps the most extreme example is this one: while flying from a great height, War Machine throws Steve at John Steele, and Steve lands on his fists. It's not just the height or the fact that he landed on his hands that's impressive; it's also the fact that Steele has bulletproof skin, so landing on that from a high-speed fall has got to hurt:
