Enhanced to the pinnacle of human physical potential and armed with an unbreakable shield, he became Captain America. After a failed mission left him encased in ice for decades, he was found and revived by the Avengers, later joining their ranks and eventually becoming the team's leader.

    Cap's costume in his solo film is one of the best movie suits I've ever seen, as it is both super hero and WWII soldier in one. In Avengers, he seems out of place with the blue spandex (sorry Coulson) And I also thought the helmet/cowl thing in Avengers was especially awkward. Do you think they'll take the Iron Man route and introduce a new suit in each film? What would you like to see in TWS? I personally am pulling for the ultimate suit/sketches for the redesign that were posted a week or two ago. An Armored Cap is an Awesome Cap. And FIX THE MASK!
