In the 60s whenever Cap and Namor met.. they seemed to not recognize each other. Why? And if someone has scans showing otherwise... well POST THEM!
Captain America
Character » Captain America appears in 11747 issues.
During World War II, Steve Rogers volunteered to receive the experimental Super-Soldier Serum. Enhanced to the pinnacle of human physical potential and armed with an unbreakable shield, he became Captain America. After a failed mission left him encased in ice for decades, he was found and revived by the Avengers, later joining their ranks and eventually becoming the team's leader.
Cap and Namor seemed to ignore each other in the 60s. Why????????
Namor was an amnesiac for awhile.
"@Jake Fury said:Which issues are you referring to? i'm completely lost." @batmanary: Namor was an amnesiac for awhile. "Yeah but he regained his memory after Storm popped him in the ocean, so he would have recognized Cap when the Avengers fought him in the same issue where he accidentally saves cap"

Namor had some memory issues for quite a long time. If you want to ask the authority you should ask Rheged.

I believe they first met and failed to recognize each other in the first few issues of the Avengers Vol. 1 (1961) after Cap was revived.
That's what I assumed he meant.
Thanks. I was a huge fan!
Because Captain America didn't like hanging around grown men wearing only widey tighties and nothing else, so Captain America dis owned him. When Namor started wearing Emma Frosts pants it was a little better for him.......
@turoksonofstone said:he regained partial memory not ALL of it" @Jake Fury said:Yeah but at the time ofCap's revival he wasn't." @batmanary: Namor was an amnesiac for awhile. ""
Even if Namor had recovered his memories fully, the last he knew Steve Rogers had been reported MIA, and Namor knew of at least two successors. So he'd have no reason to believe the Cap in Avengers was anything other than another pretender to his old friend's costumed identity.
