Cannonball
Character » Cannonball appears in 4174 issues.
Cannonball is a mutant with the ability to propel himself through the air like a human rocket. Over the years, Sam Guthrie has grown from a New Mutant, to the leader of the original X-Force, to a full-fledged member of the X-Men. He's currently a U.S. Avenger.
What is happening to Cannonball post Messiah?
He's going to be in the Cable series. I think around issue 4. All these questions you have, they've been answered in the various other X-Men threads.

yeh but the other threads are generally ridden with opinions and personal matters, so it is generally best to just ask the question and get a straight answer.
"John Valentine said:Strange, o well it's a floating timeline."I thought that he was like 24."he is"
"John Valentine said:"Darkchild said:Marvels as well as many comic pubs are always floating timelines""John Valentine said:Strange, o well it's a floating timeline.""I thought that he was like 24."he is"
Yup, tbh it really doesn't make that much of a difference.

I really dislike the X-Men's floating timeline... With all the characters they introduce, it actually becomes a problem. Because even if I can accept that the writers will retcon his birth year to one that is actually after he debuted in the New Mutants, I still pay attention to the characters' ages relative to one another. Sam being 21 doesn't really square well in relation to other characters. That means that Kitty Pryde STILL isn't 21, and since he was the oldest of the 80s New Mutants, that means that characters like Karma, Illyana, Rahne, Sunspot, etc. aren't 21 yet. Which makes them marginally older than some of the latest batch of younguns. How does it make sense for Sunspot to have left X-Force for a time in order to run his dad's company... That would mean a teenager was running the corporation?
Honestly, he looks to be in his late 20s early 30s the way he's drawn. And I can actually accept that.
