Founded by Matt Yeo, Jason Cook and Matthew Prothero, Bulletproof Comics was intended to provide a showcase for British comics talent. However, from the start it ran into production issues - initially founded in 2002, with its first (and ultimately only) title, the anthology Bulletproof, announced for a 2003 publication, it wasn't until 2008 that Bulletproof #1 came out. A second issue followed several months later, but the third, while completed and solicited, never materialized. Also announced but ultimately not released were a four issue miniseries for the costumed vigilante Redstitch and a series of Marren Kane oneshots.
