How is Stephanie part of Bruce's plan and how will he test her

    Cover

The cover art is always good and I think all the covers are supposed to make a bigger picture because I see Ra’s Al Gaul’s cape in some of the picture.

    Story

Stephanie is fighting a man who she is way over head to fight. The man runs away but, Stephanie is not hurt. Oracle tells Steph that she should stay away from him and maybe leave it to someone else and Steph promises she will leave it alone but, of course with her fingers crossed behind her back. So, she asks for Proxy’s help and beats up some guys in the alley. She then goes to the presentation at crim alley because she knew that Invisible guy was targeting someone on stage. She finds the Invisible man and she says that he must be very clever or very sloppy. Then the Invisible man shows himself and he is Bruce and Steph slaps him in the face. At Gotham U Vicki Vale stops Barbra and says she has made the connection that she was Batgirl but she denies it. Steph meets up with Bruce and Steph has a long speech to him saying that the only time she knew she was doing something right was when she has the bat-symbol on her chest and he can’t take that away from her. He allows her to stay Batgirl. Bruce meets up with Alfred and Bruce sees that Alfred really believes in Stephanie. Alfred asks why Bruce has not looked for Cassandra and that was because Bruce already knows where she is and so does Tim. Bruce says it was all part of his plan for Cassandra to let Stephanie to become Batgirl.

    Best Part

In this issue you really saw how much Steph really did evolve. How Stephanie really believed Bruce did not think she was good enough. Maybe at a time that was true but, it showed that Cassandra giving Steph the Batgirl suit on his terms it really shows that he knew she could do it. I also loved seeing how most Bat heroes do not do the Wise cracking like Steph does. But, most people think that she does it because she is unsure of herself but, she really does it because that is the way she fights and that is her own style. I was excited for this issue and it was a great story to add to Stephanie’s journey as Batgirl and as Stephanie Brown herself.

    Worse Part

There was no worse part in this story

    Art

The art was really good and I would not want it to be any different.

    Pick it up or not

    Pick it up!!!

Batgirl skirmishes with a mysterious assailant who seems to posses all the powers of Amazo. His actual identity, though,  will greatly test her character.  The Good This is actually pretty good as a character portrait and it's interesting to see a cape in Batman's mythos who isn't an extreme personality. I particularly liked her cute little outbursts; how she apologizes to Bruce while running away and then how she shouts "Don't do drugs" after trouncing the goons in an inspired Goldilocks extend...

The Good: I love the concept and execution of The White Casebook. The little flashback at the start was an excellent lead-in to the story. Batgirl's fight with The Insider was actually seriously awesome, even though she had absolutely no hope of victory whatsoever. All of the usual Batgirl humor I've come to expect was there and then some. The beginning especially was excellent in this regard. The use of Oracle and Proxy as separate individuals was a nice touch. Proxy isn't just 'Oracle while sh...
