Despite having such a small amount of screen time, Boba Fett is a favorite character for many Star Wars fans. His look has pretty much stayed the same over the years but he has had some different looks. Remember when he first appeared and only had three fingers and a thumb? Remember what his first action figure looked like? Have you gotten over the fact that Star Wars: 1313 was canceled?

Man, I love Boba Fett, I was more hyped for SW 1313 than for this movie. And I'd prefer having the game instead of the movie.

I misread this while skimming initially. I thought they said his appearance in Attack of the Clones was a "fan favorite." :P

Man, the most overhyped character ever created. Who knew being killed by a disoriented blind man could make you so damn popular.

@worldflash: Right. Standing around doing absolutely nothing for a total of like 6 mins of screen time somehow made him a breakout character.

@ostyo: His design is interesting, so fans wanted to know more about him. This lead to comics and books being written; expanding his lore and continuing adding to the character. The fan's like him for most of the stuff he did in the comics and books, not the Star Wars movies, which honestly have few actually good characters.

@worldflash: Nah, the movie characters are great. Well, besides Boba and Jar Jar at least. Also feats and lore(which aren't canon) that came after his breakout debut in the films don't justify or explain the undeserved popularity and hype he gets for being a total scrub that gets killed by a giant anus monster in the films.

I always liked Boba Fett because he was cold, ruthless and smart ... and his design was (is) so damn stylish! A classic villain! I was disappointed when his original voice in 'Empire' was redone in 2004 ... the original sounded so much more sinister, cool and befitting

Most people think the character's death was botched up like a lot of Return of the Jedi.

In Empire Fett is great though with the little he has. That's more to do with how brilliant the movie is though. Every aspect is stellar.

@ostyo: The Original movie characters are boring; they're cookie cutter characters, don't get interesting until after the Original movies in the books and comics, once again. Also, what does canon have to do with his feats and lore after he was eaten by the Sarlac, which he escapes by his own means, have to with how epic or great they were? By that logic Han Solo is even worse then Boba, who was easily captured by the Empire and then was made a trophy by a giant slug. He is popular for what he does in the books and comics,which doesn't matter if they're non-canon. If you want just say they like over-hyped Legends Boba.
