    Overthrow and his Manhunter team trap Mr. Miracle and Blue Beetle in a probe heading for the Earth's core in "If This Works, It'll Be A Miracle!"

    Blue Beetle and Mister Miracle travel to Kord Industries to modify a solar probe to instead be a planetary borer so that they can pursue the Manhunters at the Earth's Core. In so doing they are attacked by Overthrow and a group of Manhunters and trapped inside the device as it begins to heat.

    This is not really my favourite era of comics, nor my favourite tone (half-comedic) nor is Blue Beetle one of my favourite character (though Mister Miracle is) but despite all of that I picked up this particular issue recently because I was told that the escape sequence was well handled.  First of all, I have read some of the Millenium issues over the years, and generally don't find it to be the best event style crossover, but it wasn't the worst either.  This one follows a mostly non-related ti...
