Wesley Snipes might be more interested in producing a movie about a fed who blew the whistle on J. Edgar Hoover's operation to besmirch Martin Luther King Jr.’s reputation in the 60s... but he’s still interested in coming back for another BLADE movie. Even if the project might be moving ahead without him.

While talking to Deadline about the MLK project, he had this to say about a 4th daywalker picture…

 “Maybe we get around to doing another Blade, except, from what I’m reading, every other actor is talking about playing him, and nobody is talking to Wesley… How strange that they don’t come and talk to me about it.”

I won’t comment on any of the Blade Trinity on-set conflicts, nor the man’s current legal problems, but, speaking strictly as a fan, I want to say that Snipes is a seriously underrated actor. I can think of few contemporary male leads with the kind of screen presence this guy has; and I can think of even fewer actors who can be taken just as seriously in tough action movies like Demolition Man as in understated dramas like the Waterdance.   

Plus, Blade kicks eight kinds of ass. == TEASER ==

Seriously, the first two are some of my top favorites out of the wave of Marvel movies we’ve been riding since ’98 - - a wave none-too-coincidentally started BLADE's release. I just want to see Snipes slicing and dicing fangheads again. I’m sure a lot of you are going to agree that the Daywalker’s needed even more now as an antidote to today's sparkly, Prius-driving vampires.

At this rate, it seems more likely Snipes finally get to join Sly Stallone for a second EXPENDABLES movie. He was in talks early on for the role in the first movie that ultimately went to Terry Crews.

Snipes as Blade is a must. The TV series showed that no other actor can play Blade better than Snipes.

The first two movies were very good movies. The third one was very... mainstream let's say. I want to see a fourth Blade movie a lot. But as long as it is more like the first two movies.

As long as it's better than Blade Trinity, I'm good. Also, Sticky Fingers was good as Blade in the short lived but good television series on SpikeTV.

if so he may not be around to do another Blade, but he could always do a movie called Shiv when he's out

I enjoyed the television series and I don't think there anybody else who could do the character justice, but I would like to see a reboot/remake of the movies and stay true to the comic's.

Snipes is a must have for any new Blade movie.  It would be nice to finally see a third Blade movie, rather than that failed pilot for "The Nightstalkers" spin off.

As much as I like Snipes as Blade, I wouldn't mind someone else the role either. I certainly don't want a movie hampered by someone who's getting old and needs to have continuous use of a stunt double or CGI counterpart. 
 
Though if he can do it, that's what I'd prefer. He was straight up badass in the first three movies.

There is no blade without snipes to be quite honest, the only other actor I could possibly see pulling it off with an actual MARTIAL ARTS BACKGROUND would be Michael Jai White, it's been 12 years since he was in Spawn so maybe everyone will just forget that little stain on his career lol.

I agree with everybody else here, Snipes IS Blade. I thought it was really strange that he was barely in the 3rd movie in favor of more screen time for Reynolds & Biel. 
 
I know this may sound totally out of left field coming from a gay white dude....but wouldn't it be cool to see a movie focused primarily on the black super heroes? There was a team-up a few years ago with Black Panther, Storm, Luke Cage, Brother Voodoo, Pulsar and Blade that was pretty interesting. Set it in Wakanda, upsurge of evil/vampires vying for control of the vibranium supply or something. I dunno, just sounds cool to me.

Wesley snipes as blade was exactly how I imagined the character should be. I also agree he is an underrated actor.  

I hate to be the one to point this out but there is no point in having blade show up in another film . He should have been in them twilight films killing fangheads, I feel he has let us down by not being there... 
 
 

Give us Snipes, a good script and a good director, and an opening scene of blade killing some random "pretty boy" vampire clan making a clever one liner after the battle, and the 4th movie will be awesome.

   
It is SNIPES All the way!!! I am so Thankful that I never watched Blade Trinity all the way through... 
But I agree that there needs to be a far more ASS-KICKING iterations of vampire mytho out there. You know apart from Tru Blood, Vamp Diaries and F@$#% Twilight.

give the role to Mekhi Phifer (Left) - he's already got the practice hunting down Zombies. Vampires are just one step up. 
 
Or you can even go for Omar Epps (Right), he's already taken over Snipes once with Major League and he's played a kick-ass vampire as well in Dracula 2000. And his acting skills have only improved with House.

I enjoyed the movies, especially the first one. He is Blade to me so that would be cool if he does a fourth installment.

BTW, Demolition Man was just awesome to me, even though it seemed kinda corny.

Snipes will never do another Blade.  He felt they were trying to push him out of the franchise during Trinity.

In my opinion, Snipes is Blade. I don't see any other actor pulling it off as well as Snipes can.

What would be the point of bringing in a new actor if the original still wants the job? That's pretty stupid to me.

I really can't see anybody but Snipes as Blade.  I couldn't even watch the TV series as the guy just didn't have Snipes presence for the character.  I would love to see him back in some really good movies as his latest series were really bad, and he just seemed to drop off the grid (also went to jail apprently) for a while.  Man, if he had been in the first Expendables....I can't even imagine it, but I will definitely look forward to number two.
 
Trinity was a mistake the never should have happened and you could see that even he wasn't happy about it.  He didn't appear in the commentary and he just looked bored through out the movie (either that or it was because King just would not shut the hell up!!!).  He was in the commentary of the first two and they were almost as fun to go through as the movies themselves.

He has to come back and play him again!

There is no Eric Brooks without Wesley Snipes. End of discussion.
