    Why? But while we're on the subject I think  Black Manta deserves more evil cred than he gets I mean he killed Aquaman's son.

    I love Black Manta. He along with Ocean Master don't get the respect they deserve, then again neither does their nemesis.

    They should bring Aquaman back and show just how badass he can be and how sick, twisted and evil Black Manta and Ocean Master can really be.

    Johns has said that after his building of Sinestro and Professor Zoom (along with their enemies Hal and Barry) the next villain that would get that threatment in 2010 by him was Black Manta. He also has put Mera in the spotlight of Blackest Night and has expressed interest in continuing his writing with the character. He was the one that gave the idea to JT. Krul to make Tempest the new King of Atlantis and he is a big fan of both him and Aquaman. I just can't imagine not having both Aquaman and Tempest returning from the dead and followed up by a new ongoing written by Johns. He has besides Flash and Green Lantern another 3 unamed projects. (with Gary Frank, Ivan Reis and Rag Morales respectively) post Blackest Night so I bet Aquaman has to be one of them

    Yeah, I liked the Aquaman raising the dead sea creatures too but Black Manta stole the show.
