If the Manta suit only slightly enhances his strength, how does he hang with Aquaman, who is at weakest around 50-60 ton range?

Black Manta's gone toe to toe with Aquaman. And can keep up with him in water. I doubt his strength is just enhanced.

This is a good topic. Black Manta is Aquamans physical equal just like Lex is Supermans physical equal in his body armor. And in some ways stronger because of the weapons involed.

You're misintepreting. He's saying at his weakest, not that he is the weakest.

Black Manta is no match for Aquaman. That's why he loses practically every battle toe-to-toe against him and tries to attack the ones he love instead. You can tell me wrong, but he's just a psychopath in a energy-based suit equipped with weapons and armory specifically suited for his encounters with Aquaman. His gadgets are what gets him to be such a great adversary of his.

Manta probably needs some power upgrade so he can be a match for Aquaman's strength. Maybe Manta can also get Iron Man armor like Lex Luthor.

@jointron33: the same way Joker or Ra's hangs with Batman...........they don't. Doesn't mean Manta can't make Aquaman work for it. He's got gadgets, and other advanced weapons ot help even the odds not to mention Manta is a really good and ruthless fighter.

It's not like riddler could beat up batman.

Through knowledge of their opponents and advanced technology.

His equipment and his henchmen make up for the power difference.

His suit gives him super strength and durability among other things. It can also move at great speeds underwater and allows him to leap high. And of course his entire arsenal consists of stuff designed to kill metas (Atlanteans)

We know it can take a sniper bullet point blank and survive direct punches from Aquaman (the helmet lenses were slightly cracked).

He is also an expert assassin and very cunning.

He is an expert mercenary. He is always well prepped and has studied the mythology of Atlantis long enough to be able to go toe-to-toe against the King of Atlantis, himself.

I mean, his suit does more than just slightly enhance strength. It has missiles and lasers and other dangerous things.
