Looking back on it now, did he see something the others didn't?

Let's again, in theory, put aside his mean streak for these past few years. He'd been made to look like the big bad guy all through the whole picture. But, if he had gotten his way, would things have been different for Homo Sapiens Superior? We kept hearing that Hope was going to save them all, but has she really? We kept hearing that Cable would trust in Scott to know what to do when the time came. Well let's say, perhaps Cable should not have done what was possible to see Hope lived from this supposedly accidental killing by the Avengers in the future, and just let unchanged fate take its course. Perhaps, Cable was wrong?

We seen possible futures, not set ones after all.

cable thought scott would do the right thing but the PF had other plans.... as far as the people (Scott, Cable, Hope) the cause was in the right place but dont forget that the Phoenix Force has a mind of its own & that it can corrupt! & thats exactly what happened. Hope was the gate that opened up the whole scenario so i see why bishop wanted to destroy hope but she didnt do anything negative or even really positive except for destroy bastion... thats the only highlight of her really, just a character plot that was poorly written & introduced to the marvel community

We've known that Bishop was wrong since it was first proven that the Phoenix Force was coming to Earth because of something the Scarlet Witch did and would be willing to inhabit whoever it damned pleases so that it could carry out its mission.

Or maybe it's a pre-destination paradox and Bishop is the one who causes all this to happen in the first place. Maybe if he hadn't interfered, Hope would have been ready for the Phoenix Force.

@HopesummersFORtheFUTURE: I made this some time ago before the event came to an end, my questions have for the most part been answered. Wish I could remove this topic now.
