Not sure if this is the right place to put this but I was wondering why BoP is kind of under-represented. I love 'em, don't you? Who else reads the comic? Who hates them? Who really doesn't care?
Birds of Prey
Team » Birds of Prey appears in 439 issues.
The Birds of Prey are a group of female heroes headed by Barbara Gordon. Though the team's roster tends to rotate, the mainstays of the group have been Oracle/Batgirl, Black Canary, and Huntress.
Birds of Prey
Dern... I thought this was going to be a Klingon-related post! Who are the Birds of Prey???
[Just kidding...]
I've never picked up an issue of BoP, but the cover art for the series is SMOKIN' hot. May it last for years to come.
I already get like 30 comics a month.
I need to scale back, not add. :)
Maybe when one of the mini-series I'm subscribed to ends... we'll see.
See, I only actually subscribe to BoP and Nightwing with the occassional Supergirl for when I fancy it. I'm real new to comics, only got introduced to them recently.
I read BoP for a long time mostly for the batman storylines. They weren't horrible books, but I much preffered Catwoman at the time. I haven't picked either up recently though.
The new storyline is good and I love the way they're doing Huntress now. She's got so much more character than the Huntress/Batman/Question cross they did a while ago.
I've read it off and on. It usually comes down to buying way too many comics. It's also not on my pull list. If I hear of something coming up or there's a really interesting cover, I'll pick it up. I'd like to read it more often as I feel Barbara should have a bigger role in the DCU but some of the stories are just so-so. The art is usually nice to look at. But sometimes it gets pretty interesting.
Hey nice! Definitely an image I can appreciate. Babs is a very cool character though. Personally I like her with Dick.

That sounds pretty bad after a picture that seemingly shows some girl-on-girl action.
It's what Lady Blackhawk called them when she first joined, Babs kinda adopted it after a while. It's not even as if any of the others are birds, Oracle and Huntress aren't, but there ya go
Can't remember which one but no, she drives me nuts. I read the one where she packed and left and it was just a "poor me, what a hard life I've lead" pity fest
Thanks :D Maybe the kid she's adopted will turn into an assassin as planned and finally do DC a favour

When did she get a kid?
Not entirely sure on that one but she adopted a child who was being trained as an assassin. That's why she left BoP so she could raise the kid properly. Not sure how the hell that works with being in JLA/JSA but hey-ho.
That's coz she's a muppet :D I have a real thing against Black Canary, she annoys the hell out of me
It's the JLA and she's the chairperson, as to why the flip that'll be explained in a Black Canary mini this summer, long with her answer to Green Arrow's asking her to marry him in his up coming issue 75
Black Canary still annoys the hell out of me. She's vapid and shallow. Whatever happens this summer, it'll be a pity-fest, I'll bet ya. Oh and reason number one that I don't read JLA: she's the chairperson.
Yeah, I don't like that she left BoP for JLA, it seemed cold hearted given her friendship with Babs. I liked her in the book though
I've never liked her. She's the kind of character that has a hard life and expects the world to strike up the violins for her.
The current BC is the daughter of the JSA/JLA BC. She grew up with her mother and the guys in the JSA, became a hero behind her mother's back with Wildcat's help.

And we all know what kind of "help" Wildcat likely gave. He is a tom cat after all.

LOL, yes Wildcat is a bit of a player, but when it comes to Dinah he's more like a Dad. (PG, Catwoman, and Polly on the other hand were so not daughter like to him. lol)
And the letters stand for Wonder Woman BatWoman BatGirl Oracle Huntress Black Canary

Close, yes on the Diana, Barbara, Helena, and Dinah.. The Batgirl is also for Babs,(Cassandra's S&M mask scared me) and the Batwoman is for Kate Kane, the new one from 52.
