    Birds of Prey No More!!!

    Cover

The cover art I think is really good. I think it is the best cover yet.

    Story

Creote, Savant, and Oracle are on a rooftop. Creote and Savant recognize that they like each other and they were blind in the past not to see it. Oracle tells them that she is going to get them in a safe place. Black Canary and White Canary are done fighting and White Canary wants Dinah to come with her to Bangkok and she says yes. She calls Huntress and Oracle and says she is quitting. Oracle is in car while she hears this and is going to Kord Tower. Huntress gets the call while she is figuring what do with the penguin. She wants to kill him but, Oracle says not to but promises to deal with him in another way. Oracle reaches Kord Tower with Creote and Savant to keep them safe. White Canary and Black Canary go on a jet but, Dinah knows she cannot trust her. At a hospital Hawk has a dream and in the dream he says he likes being Hawk better than Hank. He wakes up with Dove in his room and hands him a note from somebody and it says you have a purpose. Two floors down are Lady Blackhawk and Huntress. Huntress tells Lady Blackhawk that Dinah has quit the team then Lady Blackhawk gets up and says they have to go to Bangkok. They go and when they are in their cab people start attacking them and says it is from order of their mistress. They fight and they find out their mistress is Dinah.

    Best Part

I liked seeing Dinah quit the team and learning to explore. Also love the narrative from each character in this issue. Love when oracle says “What would Batman do?”

    Worst Part

The Hawk and Dove part of this story felt like it was just thrown in the story and was not really needed and I could tell while I was reading the issue. I thought Dinah quitting was cool but, was weird because Dinah just fought with White Canary for 4 issues and now she quits the Birds of Prey to be with her.

    Art

I really enjoyed the art. I especially like Lady Blackhawk in the hospital I thought the art was great at those panels.

    Pick it up or not

The Good: The artist is temporarily different, but a lot of it looks really nice. Some of it compliments Ed Benes really well and the mood of this arc as an epilogue to the previous. Especially the first scene with Oracle. This is a crazy minor good point, but the logo looks a bit sharper and cooler in black. Oracle's aftermath discussion with Savant and Creote is very very heartwarming and has some nice character development and exploration. Kord Tower. Bwa Ha Ha ha! Huntress and Lady Blackhawk...

      The Aftershock 0

Just when the Birds of Prey get back together, Dinah quits....again.Pros:  Gail Simone still bring out the humor in this series and know how to write the characters' personalities well. The Birds of Prey gang haven't always been perfect and usually the one person thats usually the voice of reason is Black Canary. So just when the gang gets back together, she quits and leaves with White Canary to Bangkok. It doesn't sit well for Huntress and Zinda, so the two decide to go to Bangkok to bring her ...
