    Original Lineup

Big Hero 6 is Japan's official team of superhuman agents. The Japanese government first formed the Giri, a group of officials and businessmen, to find and train superhuman recruits and to oversee their activities. The initial line up of Big Hero 6 included Sunfire, formerly of the X-Men; and Wolverine's old adversary the Silver Samurai.

    • Sunfire (Projects heat and flame and can fly)

Big Hero 6 once again appeared, this time as brainwashed enemies to Canadian superhero group, Alpha Flight. The group appeared to have replaced two of its members, Sunfire and Silver Samurai, who were unavailable at the time.

Instead an alternate reality version of Sunpyre (Sunfire's sister) who arrived on this Earth via Honey Lemon's magical purse and Ebon Samurai were created to fill the void of the two characters, respectively.

    Creation

Big Hero 6 was created by Scott Lobdell and Gus Vazquez and first appeared in Sunfire & Big Hero 6 issue 1 (1998).

    Big Hero 6 (2008)

The team reemerged in their own limited series written by Uncanny X-Men scribe Chris Claremont and penciled by David Nakayama. While Sunfire and Silver Samurai (as well as their replacements Sunpyre and Ebon Samurai) were once again absent in this incarnation, the remaining two spots were filled by energy-blade wielding sushi chef Wasabi No-Ginger and shapeshifter Fredzilla.

The series brings the team away from its traditional setting in Japan as they embark on adventures in America.

    • Silver Samurai (Projects energy through his sword)

    • Hiro Takachiho (13-year-old scientific genius)

    • Baymax ("Synthformer" robot that can change into a dragon)

    • Honey Lemon (a spy; can pull anything out of her "Power Purse")

    • Go Go Tomago (a spy; can change herself into an explosive ball of energy)

The studio is currently looking for writers for the comic book adaptation. The film is set to come out in 2014, and is intended to follow the character Hiro Hamada and his robot BayMax when they join a superhero team in the of San Fransokyo.

Based on silhouettes teasing the film, the animated team appears to be made up of Baymax, Fredzilla, Honey Lemon, Wasabi no Ginger, Go Go Tomago and Hiro, who appears to be wearing an armored suit like Go Go wears.
