don't get me wrong beast is a good character, i prefer him in the 90's, he was much better then, but today he is so boring, why is he in x-men ?
Beast
Character » Beast appears in 9636 issues.
A founding member of the X-Men, Dr. Hank McCoy is a mutant possessing animal-like strength and agility. Despite being covered in blue fur and resembling a ferocious beast, Hank possesses an astounding intellect and a superb wit. He is currently a key member of X-Force.
Why is beast still in x-men ?
every team needs a super brainy guy who comes up with solutions in the blink of an eye...and that's Beast for the X-Men...
I hate Beast since he's become Cat Beast but the team needs him...more than most members. If I was Cyclops I would rather lose someone like Wolverine than Beast.
"that all beast has "tell me...how is a guy like Colossus or Nightcrawler more interesting than him?
"He's there because he's an f'ing amazing character, that's why."He's not "amazing".....
IDK, Seems artists can't draw him anymore, But I'd pick him over Cyke anyday.
<------------ I hate Cyclops
nighcrawler is like no other character, his powers are good and i like how he uses his beliefs in x-men
colossus is much better than beast, his powers are amazing, he is teamplayer, i loved seeing him kick ass and he has heart of hero.
i would prefer emma frost to have the brains, if that means not seeing beast all of time.
"What do you mean.Beast was Nightcrawler before Nightcrawler was created. If you take away Nightcrawler's teleportation...what do you have..A blue freak with incredible acrobatic skill..In short Beast Jr.nighcrawler is like no other character, his powers are good and i like how he uses his beliefs in x-men
colossus is much better than beast, his powers are amazing, he is teamplayer, i loved seeing him kick ass and he has heart of hero.
i would prefer emma frost to have the brains, if that means not seeing beast all of time.
"
Cat Beast is lame. Personality wise he is awesome as always, they just need to throw him in some more action again and give him his 90's look.
"beast is always the same nothing happens to him at all. even his artwork is not great."Saying something like this would kind of prove you don't read X-men as there is really no X-men on any team who haven't done anything. The artwork of him isn't great but he doesn't draw himself so I hardly see how it's his fault.
"he so dull simple"That's his character..they aren't going to kick him out of the X-men because you don't like him.
I think as far as characterzation goes, Beast made a better Avenger. The only reason he was put back in the X-Men was, because they needed a science guy for the legacy virus story arc. Which it self was a major let down. I say throw him back to the New Avengers they need some sence of humor. Well more like a new writer. Anyways, I want the funny, wise cracking, and chic magnet Beast-man back. Now that is the Beast I fell in love with. Not this dull ape looking thingy.
Beast is with the X-Men because he is a founding member who is incredibly concerned about the survival of his species. He is the only one on the planet doing anything remotely proactive to try and ensure that the current generation of mutants is not the last. To take him off the team at this point would make no sense, character or story-wise. He is doing the actual work, while Scott and Emma try to screw things up as badly as possible. Beast is one of the most important characters in the entire X-franchise, and the X-Men would be totally screwed without him.
Angel and Ice Man are also founding members who have left for college and other groups too. I'm just saying that Beast should look for a brighter star elsewhere. Some of the best Avenger stories ever had the Beast in them and he wasn't so brooding all the time as he is with the X-Men. Plus, the Avengers need his old fun loving sence of humer. I know I need to see it back in his character.
You are failing to grasp that Beast sees himself as the only hope for mutantkind. He is not going to turn his back on that responsibility, let alone join the Avengers, none of which he has any place with currently. Beast also hasn't been fun-loving in a long time. He has to deal with some very heavy problems, and it has made him much stronger as a character. If you want to see Beast having a good time, I suggest you stick to back issues, because that's just not who Henry McCoy is anymore.
Wtf are u saying? Beast kicks ass. He can fight and he has brains. And his "Cat-Verion" just makes him more awesome if you ask me. Not to mention hes an original member which makes him a solid must for the team.
The Beast was in the Avengers from Vol. 1, issues #137-211. These were some of his best appearances. I mean who can forget Wonderman and Hank's wise cracking friendship, or him being a total babe magnet. I mean who? As for his cat-apesh now-a-days look, gag me with a spoon! Give the Beast back to the Avengers where he belongs! I mean now!
Just because Beast isn't a foreground character doesn't mean he isn't important to X-Men plot lines. He plays more-or-less the same role Hank Pym took on after he put the suit away and went back to the lab. He's a technician who's been an integral part of the team for a VERY long time, sort of like a backbone character. Beast's fighting skills are no longer adequate when you think of how powerful superheros are getting. And besides, he'd rather be in the jet or at base for tactical purposes. Remember, X-Men isn't a simple team like the Avengers or even Fantastic Four; it's an organization, and it needs somebody who keep it running. Don't think for a second that just because Emma's got the Professor's old job that she runs the place - she's just a puppet or mascot. The Institute is, and has always been, run by Beast. He does a job none of them can do. There are very few heroes at his level of intellect, and they have their own groups, or prefer to fly solo, or play for the other team.
