I personally think its one of the best new series (The art is AMAZING as well as the story)
She doesn't seem that popular to comic readers or is she just really new so there aren't that many fans yet ?
Character » Batwoman appears in 961 issues.

I don't know what you are talking about. Batwoman is very well like. Not by me but I never heard anything bad about her. Only people praising her. What made you come to this conclusion?
I think he's referring to how most casual readers or fans don't really know Batwoman exists.
- She is a newer character so comparing her popularity to DC mainstays like Batman and Green Lantern is always going to make her look unpopular
- I think she is one of the more popular and better written characters to come out of the last decade, it just takes time to build mainstream appeal
- I do not read much DC regularly, but what I have read of hers would make her book at the top of my list to follow if I turned to that publisher more

Yes, most of my rl friends think Batwoman = Batgirl .
Take them to wikipedia and educate them.
It's a great book and a great character. I think that a lot of people are Batmaned-out and are reluctant to start a new bat book. Also, she's just sort of new.

This
Batwoman's art is the most amazing of all new 52 and much better than of most of the other new 52's.
I think you made a good point there. When it comes to the Batman most people think of Robin, and then Catwoman, but then....?
Personally I was surprised that Batgirl's already having her 4th volume but it's the very 1st volume for Batwoman. She's obviously deserving her own series. Like @MrMiracle77, she's on top of my shelf, too - I do wonder though why she's behind New Guardian, seriously?
Just in case you, @maikkywin, or anyone else here don't know, Batwoman had a really huge and cool (same style and art by JH Williams III) appearance in @Batwoman: Elegy => Detective Comics v1 854-857. If I remember correctly the team of Rucka, Williams and Batwoman -he!- stays on DC until issue 860, then Williams leaves and a few issues later Batwoman, too. Check it out!
I read Elegy and adored it, and I'm now up to #5 in her current title. So happy how it flows seamlessly from Elegy, you know everything you need to know to understand her and the events of the new title. She is an absolutely fabulous character and her book is my current favorite.
SHE'S FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!
Her trade is currently on top of Graphic Books section of the New York times, so yes, I'd say she's doing well.
@maikkywin: yea man. I'm loving Batwoman also. The art is sooooooooooo gooooood. Batwoman is actually really popular on CV. She gets voted a lot on CV's best on the month
i freaking love Batwoman on New52 the art looks awesome have interesting story and kate look mad hot" one of my favorite New52 comic right now
I personal love Batwoman and think she the most interesting character to ever come from Gotham. However I think another issue is that the media has yet to use her character in anything. She could work for a movie or an animated movie at least. Even a character on a TV show. Some reason the media just hasn't used her. Another issue I run into when telling people about her they some how hear Batman and think oh she's just another supporting character. Yet she has more character then any of the other Batman family character including Batman himself. I find true comic fan like Batwoman and appreciate that she has both a good story and good art (never bad art actually). I guess people don't want to read her because well Batman's not in it that much and he shouldn't be.
Over all her comic is one of the better New 52 and should be recognized at least for the art.
i have never seen anyone hate on her..in fact i m really liking her new 52 stories and also her villains
Batwoman is great. She's the only one worthy of the Bat title I think. I prefer the Bat-family members to have their own images like Robin, Huntress, Nightwing or Catwoman which is why I'm always annoyed they have to have Bat-girls all the time. Uninteresting. Bat-Woman earns her title though as an equal and opposite answer to Batman, separate and not subordinate; independent and worthy. I would like her included in the Bat-family more though. If Jason Todd gets a call in everyone of Bats stories these days then so should she.
I'd say she's not for everyone in terms of her marketability. Heck I'm not a fan supernatural stuff but I love that about her, since it has been done correctly. It keeps her away from becoming just another cape in the Batfam aka Batman's sidekick supporting cast.
Hopefully they give her an animated film, more likely a DC Showcase, to bring more mainstream spotlight to the character.
