Is new DC rebirth totall rebirth...
@drarcania: You can start with the new DC rebirth titles without having read anything. I havent read any yet, but from what I understand, it is DC trying to clean up the New52 and make pre-new52 heroes come back. So to be clear, Rebirth is not a reboot, it builds up on New52 and pre-New52 continuities.
But if you want suggestion of previous comics you should read to know better your favorit heroes don't mind asking.
@drarcania: Introduce a new hero but don't reboot existing one, I believe it's pointless. It doesn't really continue any story, it just uses the existing elements from New52 and pre-New52 (heroes, situations, families, enemies, ...). Off course if you want to learn more about those elements, you'll have to read past stories.
No matter at all... i just found one site which prove that its still same universe of New52 !!!
Thread can be locked... or whatever
I doubt that. Main titles restart at issue 1, while "Action Comics" and "Dectective Comics" continue with their pre-new52 numbering !
And Rebirth says it : "Rebirth", pre-new52 titles/heroes are comming back. And if you had read the special DC rebirth issue it says that the New52 period has been wiped by Dr. Manhattan.
Rebirth is basically DC throwing their hands up and saying, "f#@$/ its, let's just make everything canon and see what happens."
I've gotta be honest, I'm still confused about all of this, especially with the Detective Comics going back to the old numbering. I was under the impression that it was leaving New 52 continuity and going back to the old? Someone want to explain this because the videos out there still have me lost :/
DC said that Batman does not need any kind of rebirth.. If that is your question ..
We are lucky with batman.
Well Batman (and his family) and Green Lantern (and all the mythos around) are the only two that didn't get a true reboot during New 52, they kept a lot from the pre-New52 era.
The hard thing with rebirth is that continuity of heroes are now a mix of all their previous versions, and I don't know yet what remaines true. For exemple what is Batman's origins now ? Zero year or Year one. Does the court of owls exits in rebirth ? We now know for exemple that their has always been 3 Jokers. O wait ! Historicaly there has been 4 ! Wait a minute everything is so messy now.
Some characters have very good version in the New 52, that is why they are kept (Aquaman and Wonder Woman for exemple). Some great characters were missing during New 52 (because of everything being rebooted), so they are bringing them back (Wally West for exemple). Some characters were better before New 52 (Superman for exemple). And DC likes to remodel its teams every now and then, rebirth is a good time to do so.
But hasn't new52 period just been wiped by Dr Manhattan ? Some why some New 52 things still around ?
Yes DC's continuity is now unfollowable. But I'm still happy they did that it brings some new to DC because New 52 wasn't so well handled.
...
NOT ALL share that opinion.. I am not interested in superdad, I gave him a chance(before rebirth), but now I lost my superman. Even this lost is not valid, altered pre-flashpoint.. Now I understand the hatred for Flash, for this end DC should have continued with the pre-flashpoint world all these years, not create false hopes.
I have no interest in rebirth(even if nightwing and raven now are well).. I only continue with comics to stay out of Manhattan and pre-flashpoint things(WW for example)... DC had to find another way to recover their missing characters.. SORRY, FOR THIS.. not all can share the same interest...
I speak a little and avoid rebirth things to prevent this, my words are only of batman, here everyone hates you if you're not a fan of this... Nightwing is in the Parliament of Owls.. The 3 jokers, in the end only one will survive.. 3 is a nonsense. With batfamily and green lantern it is true.
I have no interest in rebirth(even
You're already contradicting yourself in that regard given your continued discussions about it on CBR. If you had "no interest" you wouldn't be reading the books at all.

I mentioned it in the same post and I do not want problems and then I see your name... When I have not insulted superdad ..
I do not remember said nothing to leave completely DC(only Superman, and another comics affected by rebirth.) I'm not talking good of rebirth because I have no interest in this crazy changes FOR REBIRTH(I said this in CBR.).. But comics like Batman, Green Lantern, Arrow, Aquaman are not the case...
I only see AC(in superman world) but I have lost interest now, clark kent is not worth and superluthor Is a secondary character..
About CBR, I can talk more quietly than here.. I'm free in this more friendly forum without enemies as here, without getting into troubles.. For this I am in CBR.. Here I comment very little times..
Enjoy your things and I enjoy my things.
