I was think at past about actors who will i like to see in Batman movies... and decide that Alan Rickman can be great for Alfred... but, then happen that sad news :( (Rest in peace Alan)

Then i start think about other actors... have some on my mind. And last night i watch some list of British actors, and find some of them very interesting to be in :) Then found some of them to young to play Alfred ... but, maybe i'm in wrong... how old is Alfred ? And did he really have to be British ?

I would say close to 70 years old. What's your opinion ?

Alfred was a full grown adult when Bruce was a child and even then i'd say he's always looked like he was older than the Waynes were when they died. I'd give him between 60 to 80.

Pft. How old is Bruce? When it comes to age it is very hard to tell how old people are in the Batfamily.

Yep. He mentions it in the scene right after Eric Border reveals himself as the Joker and poisons him. When he's in the cave, but still paralyzed.

Depends on the continuity, pre crisis he became Bruce butler after Dick had already become Robin. And I don't think that he was originally supposed to be that old (maybe in his 30s or at best 40s?).

I would assume that we're speaking of the current continuity or the recent/future films. Though even in Post-Crisis he was an adult as well.

I think he is in his 60's or 70's.

If he was, say, mid 30s when Bruce was 8 then 17 years later, he'd be around his 50s. 6-7 years after that would put him in his late 50s to early 60s.
