Besides the Joker, who is your favorite Batman villain? For me, it's Bane.
Batman
Character » Batman appears in 23651 issues.
Bruce Wayne, who witnessed the murder of his billionaire parents as a child, swore to avenge their deaths. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, mastering martial arts, detective skills, and criminal psychology. Costumed as a bat to prey on the fears of criminals, and utilizing a high-tech arsenal, he became the legendary Batman.
Favorite Villain (Besides Joker)
@infantfinite128: Boo! Boo!
@zer0-x: Why?
@infantfinite128: Nah, it's just I liked Talia better when she wasn't "crazy drug-rape Batman/kill my own child" chick and when she was a genuine love interest.
@zer0-x: Ughh...you got a good point. I hated that too, especially the rape stuff. I didn't like how the Son of the Demon story was ret-conned in, and perverted, but that's Morrison.
@infantfinite128: Yeah, but hey, here's HOPING that the Powers that Be (DC) will retcon that and bring her back to her full glory while keeping her tactical/strategical capabilities.
@zer0-x: That would be fantastic! I forgot how much that bugged me until you said it!
So for now, I guess I'm going with Bane. I very much liked how he had an arc going from Vengeance of Bane, Knightfall, Vengeance of Bane 2, Bane of the Demon, Legacy, Bane, No Man's Land, etc. It made him unique to other villains, and I actually rooted for him. Not to beat Batman, but to achieve his potential.
Well Scarecrow is a lot of fun, Professor Pyg too and Humpty Dumpty and off course The Riddler. I love them because they can be some good creepy freaks.
Just read these stories and you'll know what I mean :
- Dark night, dark city - The Riddler
- Batman, the dark knight: fear - The Scarecrow
- Arkham Asylum: Living hell - Humpty Dumpty
- Batman and Robin (by Grant Morrison) - Professor Pig
I’d have to say the best and most psychological villains next to the Joker have to be both the Penguin and Two-Face. Plus, historically, the Penguin was the second best Batman villain for years until the early nineties.
Well, the Joker isn't my favorite Batman villain. Ra's al Ghul is.
@zer0-x: That version of Talia isn't a villain.
@wrucebayne: You mean that ordered a hit on her own child?
Not a fan of Joker.
Harley and Ivy are my favorite Batman villains. If they're even still considered villains. One of the best friendships in recent comics.
Mad hatter and Mr Freeze..One is bat shit crazy and other has a pain as strong as death of parents that drives him through his acts..
Read: TDK New 52 Mad hatter issues..one of the most cruel stories ever..

Facts. Read the entire series a few months back and I was pretty impressed. Good appearances for the character.

Yeah..People keep on shitting on the story because of the first arc while it had some fantastic details to villains..This book gave a more focus on the villains and their plans than on Batman and that is something unique..
Scarecrow and Riddler have always been favorites of mine. If were going a bit more obscure then I have to give shout outs to Killer Moth and Professor Pyg.
