" @mr.obvious said:How is this untrue?" Most popular superheroes are athiests anyway. "Untrue. "
According to this website
He does. Occasionally you'll have some idiot writer say that he doesn't, but he does. I'm pretty sure he's Catholic...
" @InnerVenom123 said:Daredevil's Catholic, Shadowcat and Thing are Jewish (The Fantastic Four kinda SAW God, if that counts, lol), I'm pretty sure Captain America and Spider-Man are Christian (or Catholic), Gambit's Catholic, Magneto WAS Jewish, as a recovering alcoholic, I think it's safe to assume Iron Man believes in some higher being, and Nightcrawler's a die-hard Christian. I know there's more, but those are the one's I can think of right now." @mr.obvious said:How is this untrue? "" Most popular superheroes are athiests anyway. "Untrue. "
" @InnerVenom123 said:Batman, Spider-Man, Thing, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, etc area all religious." @mr.obvious said:How is this untrue? "" Most popular superheroes are athiests anyway. "Untrue. "
It's kinda hard not to believe in God when someone you used to team up with was the Right Hand of God.
" It's kinda hard not to believe in God when someone you used to team up with was the Right Hand of God. "That's like in Infinite Crisis where I can't remember who basically says that Mister Terrific is an idiot for being an atheist, since guys like Ragman and the Spectre walk around.
" @mr.obvious said:Wolverine? really?" @InnerVenom123 said:Batman, Spider-Man, Thing, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, etc area all religious. "" @mr.obvious said:How is this untrue? "" Most popular superheroes are athiests anyway. "Untrue. "
" @Nobody said:I do not know exactly which religion. He may not even know which religion he believes in, but he does believe in a "higher power"." @mr.obvious said:Wolverine? really? Any Atheist in DC and Marvel are the most stupid guys ever, how you could be Atheist if you see Thor face to face?.
Also Batman does belive in God, he even talk about that in some numbers, is just that he say he dont belive to scare som people, becaue if he dont belive in God, he have no moral, since nothing will punish him, for the same that scare people.
I've gotten the impression he's Buddhist or something similar to that. He seems to engage in alot of meditation and various forms of martial arts. But basically this webpage seems to theorize that Wayne is Episcopalian/Catholic (lapsed) based primarily on the gravestones he uses both to bury his parents and himself on a few of those otherworldly occasions (like when someone traveled to the future and saw his grave). http://www.adherents.com/lit/comics/Batman.html Also this site seems to have a list of heroes and their beliefs. http://www.adherents.com/lit/comics/comic_book_religion.html
Definately A Spiritual Alien Trapped In Human Form From Another Universe...I vote Scientologist..
Scientologist believe people are "basically good", seek "to survive", and that this survival depends on the self.
Wait a minute Bruce Wayne has loads of money...Also drinks on ocassion..And is not afraid to twinkle a toe with a beautiful lady...Can I change
that to Catholic?
I'm pretty sure he has been raised in a Catholic family (or, rather, background), so he has to have a certain understanding of "the divine", call it God, Supreme Being or whatever, even if he doesn't actually and actively worship Him. Besides, in the DCU, God (as in "monotheistic God, like the God from Catholicism, Islam or Judaism) is just one among many. If you are refering to God as an actual living, seeable, touchable being (like, dunno, the New Gods), then it's not that he believes in Him, but he knows He exists. Again, the Spectre, the Radiant, Azrael... they all "work" for Him. Having such a strong proof of His existence and denying it... come on, he's the Batman. He knows better than that.
Technically I guess its up to the writer, but I think Bruce is much to skeptical and logical to believe in God. He is a man of facts.
"Anyone who does not believe in God in the DCU is effing retarded with motha f@ckin Spectre and sh@t runnin around gettin all up in n@ggas sh@t and stuff "
lol
I'm pretty sure he does, I think he does. I remember he used to pray and say oh please... oh god.
I also remember him saying he's seen it all "magic, religion" etc.
Besides, would you visit your loved ones in the graveyard and insist on muttering to them if you weren't?
Would you look so cool standing beside a cross if you weren't?
" @WW-Fan: What about the time when WW and the Olympian gods joined forces with the Hindu gods and Angels against Cronus and his Titans? I'm pretty sure WW must be aware of God's existence in the DCU, she's just focusing her worship on the Olympians. "
she maybe knows of that god! but she dosent believe in him or ever talk about him ;)
I think it's very difficult not to believe in God and somehow exist in the same universe as John Constantine.
Of course he believes in himself.
