Batman
Character » Batman appears in 23648 issues.
Bruce Wayne, who witnessed the murder of his billionaire parents as a child, swore to avenge their deaths. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, mastering martial arts, detective skills, and criminal psychology. Costumed as a bat to prey on the fears of criminals, and utilizing a high-tech arsenal, he became the legendary Batman.
batman catwoman vs batman talia.
The Bat and the Cat.
Talia has proven time and time again where her loyalties really lie ... with her power-mad genocidal father. Besides, I just don't like the character of Talia. She's always seemed .. subservient to me. I mean, she's fine bossing around goons, but when good ol' Ra's or even Batman enter into the picture, she fades into the background. She's completely overshadowed by her father and by her ex-lover. Her character doesn't seem to matter on its own ... it's never "Talia al Ghul" but "Ra's daughter" or "Batman's lover". She's completely defined by her relationship to other characters. Plus, I just can't stand the way she always calls Batman "Beloved". And she just says it so much, like the end of every sentence has to be, "... beloved". Now I know Talia has probably had her share of good stories, and I'm sure she could be a strong, interesting character. But personally? I don't like her. I even tend to avoid any storyline that features her as an important character. I still can't decide which is worse ... Talia or that little monster Damian?
Now, Catwoman on the other hand ... there's no denying she's a criminal, but somehow that doesn't seem to matter. She's fiercely independent and she has style that Talia just doesn't have. She's sarcastic (which I always love). Heck, she's even has her own independent series (multiple, in fact). Can you really imagine an ongoing title featuring Talia? Not really. Catwoman goes beyond her relationship to Batman. She works as a character on her own, which is great. She's not defined by others.
So, yeah. Go Catwoman!
@Dr. Jonathan Crane: My thoughts exactly. She seems like a tool at times.
...and besides, Batman always seems to be more interested in Selina.
i think all talia has going for her is her looks were selina has looks and personality shes sexy sassy sarcastic.
dose anyone know if bruce wanted damian i thought i heard talia forced him or tricked him or something.
Bats and Cats for me. In the cartoon series, the relationship between Batman and Talia seemed so... forced, e.g., as like a storyline convenience. She's portrayed as some exotic lover with some evil family heritage. Sounds like something you'd see in a cliche action movie.
Catwoman is more of a continuing presence in Batman's life. Their relationship feels a lot less gimmicky than the Talia/Batman pairing. I like Talia as a character though (sometimes), just not when she's vying for Batman's affection.
@LoganRogue24: it's not even close. catwoman and the batman. talia is a murdering psychopath like her father and only love batman because he daddy toold her to. catwoman is good a heart. also batman was date raped by talia ending in there son.
Batman & Catwoman for me. They have alot in common and really understand eachother since they both lead similar lives. talia....well i never really liked her much, i mean yea she's shown to save bruce's life but she always seem abit to pshyco for my liking. but hey thats just my opinion. plus i think bob kane wanted batman and catwoman to be together
Talia and batman all the way
Batman
1 Batman has proven at one point that he is deeply in love with talia
2 Not only that but he was also willing to give up his life for her
3 he was also great full that he and talia had a son together ( well I guess he was happy to have Damian in his life if you don't revolve around batman inc)
Talia
1 in batman inc it was presumed talia wanted a family with Bruce
2 They share the same passion of justice
3 She was heart broken when she found out Bruce used her to investigate her father
In many comic books it shown that if either one changed their ways they could have been a happy couple
@guardian_of_gravity: hehehehe
@deathpoolthet1000: Kinky Where did this happen and in what comicbook
P.S is Catwoman really jealous of Talia Cause I never imagined she would be jealous of anyone
@db150: I dont know, i cant remember.
But it looks they do this even after having kids.
Personally I prefer catwoman/batman mainly because they've been on & off for roughly 70 years
@cameron83: So have a lot of different diseases. No need to keep them around either. Especially the New 52 version of this weird klepto kitty who can't work a zipper.

LMFAO
I actually didn't really mean the new 52,when I read this I read this with Batman: Hush in mind :)
Everything about this universe, save for some of the designs, sucks
@cameron83: I only truly know the new 52 so that's what I think of. But I cannot stand Catwoman.

I hate her in the new 52
In her defense I don't believe she's a single capable writer handling her as a character at all since the reboot has she?
That being said I prefer Catwoman.
Catwoman for me (though my fave's Harley). I guess I'm just old school.
Harley and Batman?
After Batman Inc, Catwoman.
I love Morrison, but I didn't like what he did to Talia and also the fact that he killed off Damian.

In aggreeance, like 100%. If you didn't post that I probably would have had a similar analization of her. Right down to the the 'beloved' and disliking Damian part. Even in Hush Bats is annoyed by her calling him that.
After Batman Inc, Catwoman.
I love Morrison, but I didn't like what he did to Talia and also the fact that he killed off Damian.
On one hand I respect the fact that he went forward with the story he wanted to tell, on the other hand why can't Batman just have a living son, and be at least a little happy?
@rustyroy: His parents died, Robin died, his son died. If they just kill off Alfred his misery will be complete.
