Bruce Wayne/Batman is always a tragic character to me, and he would fit perfectly for a William Shakespeare play.

    So here's my question,

Is there any Batman stories/story arcs where it's similar or identical to William Shakespeare's plays?

Well Batman tends not to die at the end of his stories, so he doesn't fit that well into Shakespearean tragedy.

I know, he also wrote Sandman which had 2 Shakespeare stories in it. Which was my point, he's written batman and his own take on Shakespeare.

Kevin Conroy once said Batman reminded him of Hamlet. Plus I think the whole Under the Red Hood story was like a Shakespearean tragedy. You know, father loses son, son survives after all, father and son become enemies, that kind of thing. Also, Mask of the Phantasm, which is more of a romantic tragedy.
