DC Direct Return of Bruce Wayne Figures
DC's The Source recently released pictures for the upcoming DC Direct line of Return of Bruce Wayne figures. The figures are based off of Bruce Wayne in different time periods that appear in the current Return of Bruce Wayne series and storyline.
According to the Source, the first wave of this series will be on a retailer's shelf near you April of 2011. They are all based off of Andy Kubert's cover art designs, so there is some consistency to the art, since each issue has a different interior artist. The figures include, in the order in the gallery below, Prehistoric Batman, Wild West Batman, High Seas Batman, and Witch-Hunter Batman.
These figures all look great, but April of next year? That's 11 months away! Sadly, since we don't have time machines, all we have are these pictures to hold us over. Although, in the Return of Bruce Wayne mini-series, we've only seen the Prehistoric Batman (Issue 1) and Witch-Hunter Batman (Issue 2), we get a sneak peek of what the other Batmen will look like. I must say, that Wild West Batman is looking pretty sweet. In addition, I could buy that Witch-Hunter Batman and have him cast his Puritan judgment on my other Batman toys. For now, though, we wait until April 2011.
Which figures would you like to pick up? Have you been keeping up with Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne?
Thanks to EisforExtinction for giving us the scoop!
" @geraldthesloth said:Of course!" I want Puritan Wayne bad! "with Quacker-Fu grip! "
Wow, they are actually doing the loin cloth version too. Didn't I pick the perfect day to finish up my Batman 4koma?
I'm kind of partial to the Old West Batman figure.
" These are SO COOL! (This coming from a girl who hates action figures) "You hate action figures?! You're putting cracks in my heart.
"Get your time machines ready!According to the Source, the first wave of this series will be on a retailer's shelf near you April of 2001.
"
So the toys are going to go back in time to be on shelfs, man i wish i knew to look for them in 2001!
" I wonder what Roman Age Batman would look like. "There's a Roman Age book in this arc? That's epic.
We're DC; we'll milk it dry!
This from someone who has bought as many Batman figures as humanly possible...
" Here's Bruce Wayne at the first Thanksgivings,"happy Thanksgivings pilgrim!" "haha love Family Guy
SO want the old west Bats! Can fill my love for all things western atm...though have to wait a year, meh.
An action figure line?
Wow!
Did not see that coming. Big surprise. Especially considering the whole stoopid idea for Return of Bruce Wayne is basicly an advert for toys.
Can I have some decent Batcomics once this nonsense is over please?
"I got to ask? Isn't this Series a little too new for Action Figures? Issue Two hasn't even debuted yet? The First Issue, wasn't even that great, Little Too Cliche for me. "
Too new?
The series is an advert not a story dude.
At least they haven't completely insulted us by bringing the action figures out before the mini series.
pirate batman for the win
Babs doesnt like action figures well i guess she isnt perfect after all , iam shocked lol
