    During the day, Barbara Gordon has to deal with the emotional fallout of the return of a key figure from her most painful memories, while at night, high above Gotham City's streets, Batgirl and Batman face the deadly Gretel, a damaged woman with the lethal ability to control men's minds!

    It's Batgirl's first face-to-face with Batman since her rehabilitation – and he has a few choice words to say about her return to crime fighting!

    Men Are Evil and Will Hurt You Because This is Lifetime 0

    I love the opening fight scene between Batgirl and a mind controlled Bruce Wayne. The inner monologue wondering whether he's truly controlled or just faking it, wondering if she can beat Batman or not, wondering if he's going to be fighting at his 'Batman' peak; not to mention instantly apologizing when she hits him particularly hard. But there's a problem here. It doesn't feel like Barbara. The bubbly dialogue, not sure what to say to a controlled Bruce Wayne so as not to reveal that he's Batma...

    Gail Simone is a great writer and was one of my favorites. This new Batgirl series hasn't been one of my favorite but now we have a new issue and a new chance to get hooked. Does this issue make readers hooked?  THE GOOD: I really like the art in this series. It's been a favorite of mine and when I'm looking at it, I get a feeling of a video game and I really like it. The character expressions are great and the action poses are also very good. The story is my favorite part on this issue. I reall...

    Like most people, I've been loving Gaile Simones run on Batgirl, and I think she has a great handle on the character and is doing a great job introducing us to her. That said, this issue just gave me little reaction except just... meh. It's certainly not bad, in fact it is a pretty good issue. It's just some parts really dragged it down in my eyes and made it kind of annoying at some parts.First, the good.
