    Origin

    Barbarus is a native to the Savage Land. Under the command of Magneto, Barbarus fights alongside Brainchild, Gaza, Lupo, Piper, and Amphibius in the villainous group known as Savage Land Mutates against the X-Men, Avengers and Ka-Zar. To gain leadership of the Savage Land, Barabarus and the rest of the Savage Land Mutates square off against Ka-Zar and Spider-Man under Brainchild's bidding. This makes Sauron and Zaladane able to gain leadership of the Savage Land Mutates, Zaladane enlists the help of the Savage Land Mutates to try to invade the Savage Land where they battle the founding member of the Savage Land Mutates Magneto, who sided with Ka-Zar, Nick Fury, the X-Men and their allies.

    Creation

    Barbarus was created by Roy Thomas and Neal Adams in 1969 and first appeared in X-Men # 62. 

    Powers and Abilities

    Barbarus is a Savage Land mutate. Barbarus possesses unique physiology, with four arm appendages instead of the typical two most humans have. Barbarus also possesses a degree of super human strength.
