Babs Seed is a cousin of the Apples, from Manehattan. She comes to visit Ponyville in the episode "One Bad Apple," where she is invited to join the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Before she feels fully accepted in her new group of friends, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon come in and start picking on them, and Babs sides with them, becoming a bully. The Cutie Mark Crusaders attempt to get back at her, but Applejack informs them that Babs was being bullied a lot in Manehattan, and that's why she came to Ponyville. The Crusaders realize that she only became a bully so as to avoid BEING bullied, and they work things out.

Later on, they get a letter from Babs Seed, informing them that she got her Cutie Mark; a pair of scissors, indicating that she'll probably grow up to be a famous hair stylist.
