Though I was skeptical of the idea at first, Uncanny Avengers is actually my favorite Avengers book right now. I actually really like the character dynamics and history represented by this group of classic characters, so I don't think there's anything I'd change about this team (though I do feel like the Beast should at least make some appearances, and wouldn't mind if he replaced Wolverine).

That said, I get how some people prefer the Avengers to be their own thing, separate from their connections to the X-men, and I can appreciate that too, so I'd make another core team that focuses on classic Avengers who aren't mutants or founding members.

Team Leader: Captain Marvel; she's one of the greats, and long overdue for this role.

Science guy:Blue Marvel and Spider-man. It's kind of stupid that we haven't seen more of Spidey in this role with the team. He's supposed to be a scientific genius and has a long history of using his wits and preparation to hold his own against and even defeat characters way out of his power range (which itself is considerable). I'd love to see him bring that adaptability and versatility to the team.

Stealth: Hawkeye, Spiderwoman, Manifold and the Falcon. Obviously Hawkeye and Spiderwoman were no-brainers; just great characters who work well with many of the other members. Falcon's a character I'd love to see more of; he's got really distinct powers that could be interesting, and it was implied in House of M that he has some aptitude for detective work, which I think would be a great side of him to explore.

Brawlers: Blue Marvel, She-Hulk, and Photon. I think it's a real shame that none of these guys are Avengers right now, and I can't help but feel that it's because all of them have become niche favorites, featuring in stories that are deemed too silly to be in line with the mainstream vision of what the Avengers should be. To my mind, though, that they all have their own distinct stories (and perspectives) in the MU as a more diverse, extended world, is a big part of what makes them all great Avengers. Just some strait-up underrated, classic Superheroes.

Team financier/facilitator/tech-guy: Iron-man. With the combined powers and skills of this team, it doesn't seem like they would actually need Iron-man for most missions, but I do like the idea that he's still there to to help out when needed. With most of the other founding members on the Uncanny team, this would be a good role to keep him involved in the team that is, in many ways, one of his greatest inventions.

Most importantly, I think this group would bring a lot of great character interactions and fun back to the Avengers while still maintaining a classic, all-star lineup.

I like this team only without Hulk and Iron Fist. I would replace them with Black Panther, Hercules and Vision.

Even though I do like Spider-Man and Wolverine, I don't like them being on the Avengers. Wolverine has enough books and Spider-Man is more of a loner. I wouldn't mind Spidey in the reserves but not as an active Avenger. Anyway, my Avengers team would probably be.
