New Yorker Human Torch may have to transition to the west coast lifestyle! Will he accept his invitation to join the West Coast Avengers?!

Living Lightning gains his powers and tries to continue the work his father started as leader of the Legion of Living Lightning. That Legion was defeated by the incredible Hulk in Tales of Suspense #97-99. Meanwhile the West Coast Avengers arrive back at the Avengers Compound with Wanda who has recovered from her powers being made more powerful by Immortus, though it appears she no longer has any powers. Dr. Pym and Wasp go to check on the original Human Torch, Jim Hammond, who was shut down during the battle with Wanda and her father Magneto. When they enter the room they see Ann Raymond, former wife of the once hero Toro, standing alone in a dark room. Once they turn the light on they realize that the Human Torch is gone. Ann Raymond explains that when she attempted to restore the Torch's power, to ask him some questions he looked confused, turned on his flame, and flew straight out of the compound. Dr. Pym, Wasp, and Ann Raymond go out to search for their lost friend and receive reports of a man causing fire and electrical damage, and worry that it could be the Torch. They arrive to find Torch and Living Lightning fighting. They are able to defeat Living Lightning, but he is able to disappear. Once the battle is over they ask Torch to become a member of the West Coast Avengers.
