We are reaching an end game, with the pawns to decide the war being placed.THE GOODAs Namor invaded, we finally get to see the Xmen do something questionable. Of course, this will only mean that the Phoenix 5 are going to be suffering from some strife and suspicion, allowing the Avengers to recoup and prepare.I liked how strong Namor was represented, to the point where he could do such... cringe inducing damage to the Hulk. And how he kept just batting away the fighters like fly's. Writing was a...

X-Men‬ may have the power, but ‪Avengers‬ have the control... 0

Recommended! As far as “Out of 5” ratings go, this event/series has ranged from the high-3’s to 5’s - with an overall of somewhere in the 4 range. With that in mind, I ranked this issue “average” for the event, but better than average in general, against other comics.I have been reading the event specific and tie-ins for this event pretty regularly. I have some catching up to do on the recent tie-ins, but you certainly do not need to read those to know what is going on in the main story. In this o...

    One Down! 1

Namor loses all his screws as he davastates Wakanda, then he gets the crap beaten out of him by the Avengers, and then he.... wow, you have to read it. Xavier shows up and makes a prophetic promise, and Adam Kubert's art is awesome. Please check my mini-review of AvX #8 here:http://bit.ly/SJTBEtComments and feedback are always welcome!...

A fun issue in a rather lackluster series 0

Likes:The art in this book was quite enjoyable as was the layout for the fight. The panel layout really shines through with illustrating the Avengers’ first contact with Namor. As someone who reads, on average, 10 comics a week, an issue that really makes excites me, draws me in, and/or intrigues me is a fairly rare occurrence. Thankfully, with this issue, that is not the case. I found myself rooting for Namor as he takes on the Avengers and had a big, stupid grin on my face when he shouts, “Imp...

    Avengers vs Namor 0

Spoilers!Avengers vs X-men has been a mixed bag so far with the first act being pretty terrible and the second act being pretty good (obviously Adam Kubert and Olivier Coipel on art). The GoodThis issue continues from the last with Namor attacking Wakanda and hope escaping to Kun Lun and after these scenes it's basically a massive fight scene between the Avengers and Namor and it is an interesting fight compared to the fight scenes in the previous act. Since it's Bendis writing you might have som...
