    The story begins in Rome, in a tavern where he is arrested on drunken legionnaire Romeomontescus, just hours of receiving your honest missio by 20 years of service to the Roman legion, under the charge of insulting the Julius Caesar himself. Because of this, Caesar decides to offer an honest anyway to Romeomontescus missio, a small detail: it is the Gaulish village where Asterix and his friends live.

    Romeomontescus part and to the Gaul, and on the road gets drunk in the inn Ortopédix, and when it comes time to pay the innkeeper gives him ownership of the village as the price of a meal and some wine. Angina Ortopédix and decide to live at the village with the excuse that the air of an inn is not good to raise her teenage daughter Zaza. Once in town, the family hopes to enforce their property rights to the people showing the plate, signed by Caesar.
