Upcoming THUNDERBOLTS Cover Gets Risqué

I have absolutely no problem with these two getting together! Two dark characters coming together that compliment each other well. Plus it's a new development for them, you can't keep characters the same of they just become one dimensional and boring! It could be a disaster but at least it's different.

When they kiss on panel, it will look like Frank kissing himself with a wig on.

Y'know what? Go for it. If putting up with a bad hookup is the price we have to pay to get Noto on this book and Dillon off (which, by the way, if this is just a cover, IS NOT A CONFIRMATION) then it's worth it.

How is the utterly insulting and boring and stagnant practice of putting the typically sole female character in the team book into the embrace of one of the other male characters in the team remotely risqué? Oh this question is for Marvel obviously (not you CV thread)

What surprising and bold move will be next in this book? A character death or resurrection? How can this be risqué when Jean Mom Jeans Grey did it 40 years ago.

You know what would actually be a risqué? Hon, hon, honh. 1. Actually bringing back the character Risqué. 2. Having Red Hulk and Punisher embracing in a highly charged sexual way with thick red fingers pawing and Punishing hands uh punishing. 3. Not putting the female character into a romantic or sexual relationship with one of the many male characters in the team, just cause numbers. 4. Have the Punisher declare himself as a Vegan. 5. All of the above on one cover and in a lovely shade of teal not red.

Man, I can imagine that in some alternate Universe like Marvel Max or 2099... But they are clearly running out of ideas at this point if this applies to the mainstream continuity -___-

I gotta admist, I'm really liking the idea of this pairing. Honestly, the kinda life's work Frank has devoted himself too would put just about any woman in the Marvel universe in harm's way... Except for Elektra. And seriously, what woman other than her would even come close to being able to understand Frank's kind of war on crime? It makes so much sense to me, I'm surprised this hasn't happened sooner. Granted, I'm as much a fan of Matt and Elektra as a couple as anyone, but seriously... This just fits to me. Any other woman would put Frank in the position of feeling like he had to give up his life's mission either because she didn't understand/couldn't accept the violence and bloodshed, or because the kind of war he wages on crime would bring all the scum to her front doorstep endangering her. Not so with Elektra... No, no, no... Elektra is the only woman who not only could tolerate Frank's life, but enrich it by getting involved in all its aspects.

Unless of course Kingpin sics Bullseye on her and Frank...

I would say the pairing doesn't make sense, but then again I don't read or like either character.

Elektra and Punisher is past bizarre. Lovely cover -- replace Punisher with Matt and maybe I would be okay. Maybe.

I would rather Elektra head back to the back ground. The only thing that had me interested in this series was her -- and it's because of her I am not picking it up.

Now this is just me throwing this out there...but what if one of these two was under the influence of a spell or pheromone serum? That might be why Punisher's all of the sudden an animal in the bed.

Yeah, I'm not digging this. I liked ish one though. I thought was very entertaining. I'll pick it up in hopes that this won't be the prominent feature of this issue.

First was Superman and Wonder Woman hook up,now this,seeing that DC initiative was successful they decided to invest, to call attention,but they haven't an interesting couples to invest so....Elektra and Punisher

I'm one of the few loving this series so I can't wait to see where Way takes the book .. but knowing close to nothing about Frank or Elektra I have no comment on the cover ..

Eh, I remember more hubbub about the Catwoman-Batman encounter in Catwoman #1 New 52. That above looks tame compared to what Catsy-Batsy did in that art. I am intrigued immensely that Noto is doing interior art though...

While I am no fan of Mark Waid's DD I totally agree with you on everything especially Karen Page dying.Matt and Dakota not being more explored really sucked.And I really don't like Kirstin Mcduffie

Punisher and Elektra are the best pairing you can get!

Isn't Elektra a villain who remorselessly kills innocents on many occasions and Frank a vigilante whose only purpose is to kill villains who have hurt innocents?

Love the title, but hate Dillon´s art....

I'm ok with this but I do think it'd be pretty funny if this was a misleading cover, maybe something like the storm/cyclops kiss in astonishing X-men.

There's something wrong when The Punisher is on a cover passionately making out with. . . anyone.

This cover is... weird. The idea is great and we definitely need more kisses and sex appeal on comic covers (do we?). There's parts I like and many parts I do not like. What I don't get is why they let a guy like TT do such cover when they already have Phil Noto doing the interior art? Well... I'm not reading Thunderbolts anyway. This could have a been an overwhelmingly brilliant cover though...

Phil Noto is my favorite artist. Thunderbolts has been... underwhelming. Here's hoping it kicks into gear soon.

I have such mixed feeling about this series.

I want to like this book...but I just don't like Daniel Way....first two issues were pretty boring and the art is worse.

It brakes my heart to see Phill Noto wasted on this book....
