The art looks great and, like I wrote earlier, it will draw a lot of people to see what Marvel is doing with the digital comics. If momma had ever told me to say something nice or don't say anything, I'd end this post right there. But she didn't and I'm not going to.

That was the LAMEST story I have read in a LONG time. The premise is ridiculous, the dialogue is a joke, and Eminem actually gets the drop on The Punisher at one point and later takes out 'Cuda! And all of this mayhem is because some Christian Parents music group had paid Baracuda to kill Eminem and Punisher was there to save him. I really think someone came up with this concept in about two minutes and they were on a ten minute dealine to script this nonsense! Any hardcore Eminem fans will dig this, but it's an insult to comic readers.

Marvel just sent over a preview page.  It's posted in the original post.  I just read it at www.marvel.com/eminem.  It wasn't bad.  It's cheesey.  It was a little fun.  And it was FREE.

Poor Eminem.  Has his career sunk so low that he has to buy his way into a more popular medium?

This is getting really old, really fast.  Its looking more and more like PR firms are telling their clients that comic book readers are a gullible and easily accessible audience.  It doesn't help that some publishers seem more willing to sell appearances in their issues than others.  Hopefully this project will tank and Marvel will learn a quick and cheap lesson.

The only way this comic would be good is if Punisher kills Eminem on the very first panel.

Eminem has a comeback album, Relapse, coming out this summer. He has a couple songs out, but no real buzz over any of them, so he's forced to do weird marketing techniques to generate hype. Now, this is one of the most bizarre marketing ploys I've heard of, but hey, it makes sense.

Em has a huge fan base in young white males. Many young white males read comic books. I assume he wants to attract those same young white males who might have forgotten about him (his last album was in 04), and any other young white males he hasn't drawn in yet.
