Have you heard the news? The Punisher is teaming up with Eminem. Yes, he's teaming with the real Slim Shady. I saw a cover for XXL magazine with the rapper brandishing a skull on his chest. I didn't think much about it afterwards.
The LA Times has more information. This team-up is for a digital comic. That means you won't find this in you local comic shop just yet. It is written by Fred Van Lente and drawn by the awesome Salvador Larroca.
How did this start? After the photoshoot, both Marvel and Eminem liked the idea of him being in an actual comic. They were impressed that he actually wanted to be with the Punisher rather than someone more 'popular' like Spider-Man or Wolverine. They liked that he wasnted Barracuda as the bad guy. Marvel also thought that since Eminem wanted either John Romita Sr. or Salvador Larroca to do the art, he knew his stuff.
The comic is supposed to be online at www.marvel.com/eminem but there isn't anything there just yet. For more information, check the full article at the LA Times' Hero Complex. There's no word on whether or not this will be printed as a physical comic book.
What do you think about this crossover? Is this something you'd want to read?
EDIT: Here's a preview page Marvel sent over:
