The Comic Vine 2012 Movie Awards Winners

but.. I really liked Dredd..

It was pretty close between avengers and batman. But I enjoyed judge dredd the most. Loved mama! Avengers only two flaws were the story and the villians. Battmans only three flsws were the dumb looks that talia got when she was dying, the part of bruce being in the pit and bruce being shown alive at the end.

I Loved Dredd, saw it in theaters twice and bought it on DVd and have it digitally on my ipad too. It was fantastic and in my opinion was just more fun than TDKR, ASM or dare i say it Avengers. Sure those movies were big time blockbusters that made a combined 2 billion plus, but Dredd was just bad ass. It new what it was and just was uncompromisingly violent and was straight and to the point. It did everything it was going for really well. I loved it. Avengers and TDKR were still great and I enjoyed them too but...Its all about Dredd.

Dredd deserves something at the least

Avengers won best movie and people are still angry? O_O

I thought Avengers and TDKR were great films, Avengers had better elements to it e.g better director for bringing all together perfectly, but TDKR was a better film due to story and sheer awesomness

Scarlett Johansson was robbed!! Her role as Black Widow was awesome. Anne Hathaway's part as Catwoman wasn't terrible, at best.

I enjoyed TDKR, but Best Script? Really?

TDKR was utter sh*t.

The ONLY award that should've walked away with is Best Villain, Dredd should've taken Best Script and Dredd or ASM should've taken best actress.

Pretty much nobody saw Dredd in general. It was a huge flop, which is really unfortunate. People still remembered how terrible the Stallone one was, so they didn't want to see this one. What a buncha maroons.

Yea, unfortunately the Stallone film left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths. Its just a shame that it did so poorly. Doesnt look like we will get a sequel.

Was it any good? I'm not a huge Dredd fan and I've only seen the appalling Stalone Dredd film. Was this any better? And it was most likely overlooked by other superhero or blockbuster films out at the same time.

TDKR haters LOL I didn't know a person could be war with a film. So, how was it working on the set of the Avengers? I'm sure this fanvote totally validates your opinions.

Haven't seen Dredd yet, but everything else was great. Where was Ghost Rider though? I know it was bad but it wasn't even an option, that is harsh.

I am almost surprised that people are taking this as seriously as they are.

@inferiorego: Dredd is an under loved film but ASM was just unnecessary imo. The origin story was unnecessary.

Yes, it was great! Don't let the horrible Stallone Dredd movie detour you from seeing this. Unfortunately it tanked at the box office (only making around 35 million). If youre not a fan of the comics I still think people can enjoy the movie.

And 39.9% of comicvine voters shut off their ability to notice plot holes and overwrought dialogue in order to make sucking Chris Nolan's C*** a more pleasant experience. At least Avengers sweeped the awards for almost everything else.

Ha take that TDKR! Though best script is a bit generous given the gaping plot holes in that film. And no Mark Ruffalo love for his portrayal of Bruce Banner? Ah well The Avengers won a fair few categories so that's good.
