The 2014 Comic Vine Movie Awards WINNERS

There were so many comic book movies this year and now it's time to find out which ones the community loved the most. One of them is taking home a majority of the awards!

2015 is almost here and with it will come several new and very appealing movies. From Avengers: Age of Ultron to a new take on the Fantastic Four to a brand new Star Wars movie, we're going to spend quite a few hours watching these upcoming films. And that's just on the big screen! We'll also get direct-to-video projects like Justice League: Throne of Atlantis and Batman vs Robin. But instead of looking forward, we wanted Comic Viners to look back at 2014's variety of comic book movies. Which ones stood above the rest and what made them special? In this year's edition of the Comic Vine Movie Awards, we posted nine categories and all of the polls are now closed. Ready to see which moves won? Of course you are, so let's get to it!

Well, it looks like Steve Rogers' sequel wins six out of nine categories. Not shabby, Captain America: The Winter Soldier! Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel Studios' other big 2014 movie, is only taking home one victory, but it was the runner-up four times. Bryan Singer's return to the X-Men franchise only generated one win and it was the runner-up only once, but that's certainly better than The Amazing Spider-Man 2's performance in the polls.

Thank you so much for voting and don't forget to come back next December for a new edition of the Comic Vine Movie Awards! Seriously, make a note in your calendars. Will Avengers: Age of Ultron go all Captain America: The Winter Soldier on the competition or will it be a closer race next year? Guess we'll just have to wait and see what the future has in store for us!
