Earlier in the week, Livewire, Red Tornado, and a few other comic characters were announced that they'd appear on CBS' upcoming Supergirl television series. According to Variety, True Blood actress Brit Morgan has been cast to play Leslie Willis, also known as Livewire, and she'll guest star in an upcoming episode during season one. Willis will play a shock-jock at CatCo Media, who has an accident that makes her dangerous and super-powered.
In the comics, Livewire first appeared in SUPERMAN ADVENTURES #5 as a villain for Superman. She's only appeared in a couple Supergirl comics, as her time as a DC villain. From the character description, it seems like the creators are going with her actual origin from the Superman animated series, where Willis was an abrasive and humorous DJ.
Supergirl premieres October 26 on CBS.
