Preview: US AVENGERS #1

ugh not a fan

Al Ewing is a great writer, his run on Mighty Avengers and New Avengers [and also, Ultimates, and Agents of Asgard] was great, and he really love these characters. And me too. So I'm In! :)

Glad to see Sunspot's not whitewashed anymore. Too bad about the discount Star Wars Royal Guard.

@thatlyn_yoaeg_ill_rymmin: I am enjoying the New Avengers on the Unlimited App... The only thing I don't like about the New Avengers run is that so much is focused on Wiccan and Hulking's relationship. I wonder if that was a mandate or if Al Ewing decided that he wants to write about an extremely sappy homosexual relationship every month. This might be a big turn on for some but it is over played and boring for my interest. They should just put in the intro page "hay these guys are gay and there is our monthly reminder". I hope he doesn't go over board with Miss America that way.

Well, the history is focusend on the relationship between Hulkling and Wiccan only in the first Arc, between issue 2 and 6 more or less. After, the New Avengers enter in "Avengers Standoff" and "Civil War II" [remaining separated, or following their own story, without jumping on others book] and the focussing on W&H totally stops. From Issue n. 7 the Author start to focus on others characters, so don't worry and go on :)

I was hoping for a look at the rest of the team.

I think it looks kind of neat and I'm a long time New Mutants fan so just having Cannonball and Sunspot (aka Citizen V) is enough for me to check it out.

Well at least we know what Rulk's been up to I guess.

New Avengers was terrible, 100% sure this series will suck.

Red Hulk has went full on Action hero on that cover all that's missing is an eagle coming out of an explosion

I am basically done with Marvel comics entirely. I haven't been enthralled by anything since probably the House of M series

This book has a British author. And there was no such thing as GI Joe in the UK, it was called Action Force.

The hell is wrong with marvel? I don't understand, are the trying to ruin their own name? Forget about world war hate and civil war II(f$%&@ you bendis), back in the day they gave us stories like the phoenix saga and the cosmic sagas of thanos, but now it is just a crap and then another.

*gasp* and does this same author not have access to the internet? Was this book made in 1987? No, 2016 you say? Then I guess that BRITISH author could have been exposed to AMERICAN cartoons and culture.

Wow, marvel is starting to go back to late 80's early 90's era and slapping the Avengers title on B and C listers. Kind of remind me of West Coast Avengers now that I think about it.

Why does Sunspot have the Jason Todd look goin on? Did he take a dip in the Lazarus pit as well?

I like Ewing's work. His previous New Avengers run was meh IMO, but I'm gonna check this series out. I know we don't see the entire team in this preview, but I do like the members that are gonna be in this series.

Marvel continues to only develop new titles/stories/characters for the SJW/Cosplayer crowd.

Thank you again, Marvel, for giving me less to read from you so I have more time to read from DC and independents.
