Captain America is getting yet another new costume in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Showing this to my daughter as she was just off to school, she asked, "How come he keeps getting a new costume?" My answer was "To sell more merchandise!" That may be part of the answer. Regardless, it does look pretty cool.
In the trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron, there are some shots of Steve in the new costume. If you were looking carefully, you might have noticed a tiny glimpse at the changes.
The thing is, in the shots, you can't fully see the changes. There's more red added, especially by the star. Even in the images for the Avengers covers of Empire Magazine don't really show the costume changes.
Hot Toys has released images of their prototype for their upcoming Captain America - Avengers: Age of Ultron Sixth Scale figure.
What I like is the red striping sort of matches the red added to Black Widow's costume, seen on the Empire Cover HERE.
The Hot Toys figures is scheduled for release in Q2 or Q3 of this year. It'll have a new helmet and head sculpt. New to this figure is magnets in his forearms and back to hold the shield better. I've looked at three different Cap figures and that's always been a tricky area, getting it just right. There will also be eight different hands.
Looks pretty good to me. Hopefully I'll be getting my hands on the figure for a close look when it's released. What are your thoughts?
