The overreaction for the Chitauri is really problematic.

It's not that big of a deal.

Literally if this were some no-name new alien race that wasn't the Chitauri or didn't look like the Chitauri from the Avengers film no one would be complaining.

But since Marvel is trying to capitalize on the success of their film franchise but introducing an aspect of the film into their mainstream universe they're abandoning comics? How? How does that logic work?

Nova is a good book. Not only is it a good book, it's a book that's very new reader friendly. ANYONE can literally pick this up and read it without having read anything else in their entire lives. The Chitauri would only possibly bring in more readership, because whether you want to believe it or not comic books can't survive on the backs of people who steadily complain about comic books.

Also correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the "Young Nova" feature in The new series "The Amazing Spiderman" Cartoon? or something like that?

Wow. Marvel have just left the comics for the movies entirely haven't they? Also replacing Ant Man and Wasp with Black Widow and Hawkeye is a massive slap in the face.

Meh, times changes and the chitauri were good villains in the film and look like they'll be visually better in comic book form. I'm actually in favour of cross-pollination from the movies, as long as it's the good stuff like this and Hawkeye's uniform and not guff like Fury Jnr. Anybody that thought that it would be one-way traffic and the comics would shape the movies but not vice versa is a bit naive tbh.

agreed...although I still like NFjr

but on a side-note,I can't believe some people are complaining about the presence of something from the movies.....that's just....i don't even know....it's pathetic.

Not averse to Fury Jnr, just thought his intro into the 616 wasn't needed (due to Ult Fury) and handled pretty badly in the Battle Scars mini. He's pretty redundant in 616, since there already was a Nick Fury. He's growing on me in Secret Avengers though...

LOL I'd love to see an interaction with Chitauri and Skrulls. SO WEIRD! However I loved the designs of the chitauri in the movie and Ilove their weapons. Whoever drew the concept art must've recieved a splendid amount of cash.

@cameron83: I know you can only reuse an existing villian or alien race so long. Nice to see something "New" even if it is from the movies which based it on the Ultimate U.

And remember the Ult U takes liberties with names of something the 616 calls something else only to use the 616 name later to an unrelated subject. So why can't the 616 do it as well. Remember this is the multiverse.

Ant Man and wasp weren't said to be in the film, let's save them for later.I prefer the latter combination. Also,Why do retards always set their expectations too high and expect everything to be exactly like the comics....why I ask you? And yes,the chitauri...really,get over it.It's not the end of all we freaking know it.Just because an addition to the universe was brought in you guys act as if Marvel killed all of the characters and remade them in the ultimate universe.

Really? The Chitauri? I mean this is 616. The Chitauri were the Ultimate versions of the Skrulls. Marvel remember these movies are drawing from the Ultimate U not 616.

Looks really good loving this series so far hope it continues to be a good ride. Straight out of the Avengers though I mean they've even got the massive whale thing in this as well! I don't mind about it personally as I liked them in the Avengers and the Whale thing looks awesome in this preview. On a side note bet that is Titus from the first issue on that last panel.
