It makes so much sense that one of the most powerful beings in the Universe, who incidentally doesn't live on Earth, would follow the orders of a King of a vastly inferior nation, and not have his interpreter there. How is Black Bolt meant to communicate with everyone else?  
 
Hickman is terrible. This looks awful.

Dear Lord...the art is so damn GORGEOUS! But yeah, talk about awkwardness between T'Challa and Namor. Yeah, the $3.99 price is more than justified for how good that looks. Now whether the story helps to compliment that justification, we'll just have to see...

Love the new concept of New Avengers, can't wait!

So does this mean characters like Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Mockingbird and Jessica Jones will go back to character purgatory?

Epting is by far my favorite artist and I like Hickmans writing so I may need to get this even though I've never cared for the illuminati before

Thing is Namor is leader of his own nation, which gives him diplomatic immunity. And in Marvel, that counts for something, since Doctor Doom has stayed free under those same rules for over 50 years in Latveria. Cyclops is involved in too many stories where he's on the run right now, forgiving him this quickly would ruin the entire purpose of 3 on-going series (All New X-men, Uncanny X-Men, to an extent Uncanny Avengers among others)

Is Namor really qualified to be on this team? Marvel's Atlantis never struck me as a particularly powerful civilization. Also, I can name at least two people on the team who probably hate his guts.......

I simply love seeing all these positive posts. Glad to see fans excited instead of being disappointed.

Plus I do believe to "change" the Illuminati to New Avengers is going to help them sell the comic way more.

I mean what was that thing that Denzel said about Blue Magic in "American Gangster"... I can't remember exactly, but I know he made a valid point.

This is probably the one Marvel NOW! book I'm looking forward to. I've been pleasantly suprised with Hulk and Thor's new titles, but this one by far looks the most interesting. The New Avengers finally have a purpose and I love it.

im loving the idea of this series more and more.

There are no words to describe how awesome this title is going to be!

Too many characters I don't care about... Namor ...meh... mr. Fantastic...meh... dr Strange...meh Black Panther ...meh... Black Bolt....meh Iron man ... Mwah... Beast is cool though... But he will be covered for me in New X-men and Wolverine and the X-men.... And wasn't Reed Richards going all 'Lost in space'??? Art looks good... Actually one of the better looking books... but I won't follow this.... although Hickman is a grand writer... Just don't care about this roster

Fair enough, but Namor is leader of a sovereign nation, which is the reason Doctor Doom is still at large, so he get's a pass. Magneto is far too hated by the Avengers on the whole to be allowed to join (same with Emma Frost, their freedom despite their crimes was only granted because Scott and Logan vouched for them, which certainly isn't the case now). And the divorce seems pretty final, since Black Panther is the leader of the wakandan church, so to speak, so his word is pretty much law in these matters (but I'm fighting for this more because I hated the pairing, never cared for a couple defined entirely by the fact that they are the biggest black names in Marvel)

Almost thought Black Bolt was Spawn.

It looks decent, but I've dropped New Avengers from my pull list now that Bendis's run is over. I'd much rather pick up Gillen's Young Avengers.

Going to stick with Uncanny Avengers instead, because i prefer its cast and the X-men touch. But i'll admit, that art looks pretty freaking good.

Maybe you missed it, but Emma and Magneto are all escaped criminals on the run. I have no idea which book you're talking about that features Storm and Black Panther, but I think Hickman has plans for how Namor and Black Panther's current dynamic will be presented ( I think he discussed it in an early interview).

And I think you need to remember this isn't going to be the illuminati seen in Civil War. It will most likely be far less sinister than back then, plus since the majority of the members are all scientists in their own way (Mr. Fantastic, Tony Stark, and to an extent Black Panther, since Wakanda is pretty advanced) Beast makes a good fit.

This is one of the only Marvel Now titles I'm pulling. In an interview Hickman stated he thinks this is going to be the sleeper hit of next year. He must have some craziness planned.

art is great.. i guess street level Avengers might end up in that Luke Cage's Heroes For Hire upcoming title now, since NA is even more elite than main team lol

I wonder why Cap isn't there. He's in the Illuminati, and the writer said Cap is gonna be in it.... I hope that didn't change.

god its great to see strange back in the cloak, hope this means his powers will go back to ss lvl. Thought his new uniform was starting to grow on me.
