So if he beats Vandal does that make up for Lois turning on him, the government decimating his town and kidnapping everyone from there? Does he still have a reason to be Superman after everything that was done to him by the US government?

Just thinking about how much the black mist sounds like Terrigan mist.

As I recall from the issue the entire towns population was taken into custody, his parents graves were dug up and Steve Trevor set him up to be attacked while Wonder Woman had to throw her weight around to get them all free. I thought some of the buildings were destroyed when they took the town but I could be wrong.

Lois didn't turn on Clark. She revealed his secret to end Hordr's blackmail and torture that were both ruining his life and literally ending his life. She did it to save his life. It was heroic, not malicious. Also, Smallville wasn't decimated. It's still standing. All that was done was a few of the people closest to Clark were taken for interrogation. The whole town wasn't kidnapped, and they've since been released after Wonder Woman used her lasso of truth to give the government the answers they were looking for. It's still not okay what the government did, but it wasn't as bad as you described. I'm concerned, though, that you think Superman should stop being Superman because of these personal incidents. Superman is for the little guy. If anything, this experience would have made him even more committed to people, like the people of Kentville in Metropolis.

YES. THIS MUST END.

This should have ended long ago, have elongated silly things .. Olympic resurrected him, right? So why they will not return his powers? INUTIL GODS ..

NO, a lot of nonsense more to retrieve their powers.

Now, other IDIOT for Vandal army .. the twins probably appear in an episode to be defeated.. Although I do not care.

Bat Gordon, Aquaman enemy of Atlantida, criminal Hal Jordan, can tolerate all that but ... the truth in the majority, has done nothing but disgust me.. I hate this saga..

Superman is too seems (especially in hair) to the JL 3000 Superman, and his personality, incredibly bad..The only bad thing with WW his suit(now returned his old suit, good) but his personality has not undergone radical changes as Super.

@gingersnap: man, I guess you must be a Lois fan but seriously you don't need to defend this piece of crap story. It had Superman, Lois, Perry and almost everyone else involved acting stupid as hell and out of character. In upcoming months this will be forgotten from our minds and most likely from canon FOREVER. Lois was used stupidly as a plot device and then thrown away, they completely butchered her character.

I would agree but after that it's straight into yet another storyline spanning Superman, Action Comics, Batman/Superman and superman/Wonder Woman. I can't wait for this whole shit where I have to regularly buy from 3 extra series' to understand what's going on in one book to be over.

Even though this is one of the better Superman titles, he really was the biggest casualty of the N52.

Aaron Kuder is too good to be working on any of these travesty Superman books. He needs to move on to better things.

How Superman's weakness can help him?

As explained in the latest Superman issue, Clark got the idea to use Kryptonite as a sort of chemotherapy, burning away the cells that Vandal Savage somehow damaged, making it impossible for Clark to recharge via yellow sunlight like he normally does. It's actually a pretty clever idea, in my opinion, one of the only two really good ones in this arc; along with having Superman and Grayson team-up.

@the_kidd: Savage had his son steal his powers to use for sand superman. Also, the easiest way to kill supes other than kryptonite is weaken him enough to be killable

Lois acted like an idiot and exposed him when she could have called anyone for help. She was holding a cell phone! Mallicious? Ok, I'll grant you probably not. Maybe not. After all outing him is the story of her lifetime, she'll get a pulitzer out of it for sure and her bank balance will skyrocket from the booksellers alone. Maybe it wasn't malicious but no way do I agree that it was heroic. Of course ultimately it was just horrific writing, but for me it's still put the character beyond the likable category.

And the government grabbing his friends, completely ignoring the Constitution and only letting them go when Wonder Woman showed up? The confrontation Clark had with Trevor? Yea I think there is a lot of reasons for him to stop being Superman. It's obvious Trevor and the US government don't want him around, look at the problems he had in Gotham.

Woah there's a lot of negativity hear. I love this new story line, it's been very creative imo. The dialogue between Superman and Steve on Superman #48 was hilarious. Using kryptonite as chemotherapy for superman was a clever and genius idea. I never really liked superman before the new 52 but I'm loving the new 52 superman.

I like the Truth arc. For the first time in his life he knows what it's like to be human. And he understands the hope he gives to the little guy when the folks of Kentville were willing to fight for him. I like that his current power level requires that he think on his feet.

I wouldn't mind if he became a Blue Lantern or something before he gets his powers back though.
