What happens when a deadly virus spreads across New York City and transforms innocent citizens into bloodthirsy gargoyles? Well, you can find out in Aspen Comic's all new series, "The Scourge" which hits this September 1st, 2010. The series will be written by Scott Lobdell with pencils by Eric Battle. The first issue will feature two covers, one by Micah Gunnell (below) and a gorgeous variant from Talent Caldwell (right) which was given to Comicvine in an exclusive first look. The story will center around NYPD SWAT John Griffin, who amidst the chaos, might just be New York City's last remaining hope to put a stop to the virus outbreak. Question is, will he succeed?
