Waiting for Daredevil to premiere on Netflix on April 10th has been pretty tough for fans. Luckily, there's a little something new to hold them over.
Folks have been wondering what the show's villain, Kingpin is going to look like in the upcoming show, and while there's been a shot of Kingpin from the back, we haven't seen too many shots from the front.
This shot of Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin was released today on the USA Today, and D'Onofrio put on 30 pounds to get ready for the role as Wilson Fisk.
"I just brought in this kind of character who in one sentence could easily go from being a child to a monster, depending on where his emotions take him" said D'Onofrio.
Things can get pretty bloody when they don't go Fisk's way on the 13-episode Netflix series. As it stands now, D'Onofrio is 6'3" and weighs in at 250 pounds. While he couldn't match the comic book counter-part, D'Onofrio's new physique for the role is imposing.
"I wanted him to have an appearance of being super-powerful so that when he throws a punch, it's a major punch," D'Onofrio says. "There's a lot of weight behind it."
The 13 episode season of Daredevil debuts on Netflix on April 10th.
