Awesome Toy Picks: Batusi TV Batman and Barbie Catwoman

Some cool collectibles you'll want to add to your collection.

Every week we like to take a close look at comic book collectibles to see how cool they are. That means (gasp!) opening up the package. Last week we didn't have an actual installment because of San Diego Comic-Con but we did get some great looking items to take a look at.

Batman '66 is making a big comeback. Hopefully you've been reading the comic by Jeff Parker and Mattel has a new line of figures on the way. The first item we'll look at is the Batusi TV Batman.

You may have already checked out the video at the top of the page. This is a great item. First of all, it has an amazing box. The artwork is pretty groovy on the front and the back.

That's not all in terms of the boxing. Once you open this box, you'll find there is another box inside...in the shape of a television set!

Both boxes has really cool art all around.

The biggest challenge will be in trying to decide if you want to remove this figure from the inner package. You probably noticed there is a 'try me' button on the back. This makes Batman actually do his famous dance.

If you watched the video above, you saw there is a button on the TV box to make it play music. If you shake the box, you make the other couple appear to dance besides Batman.

You can barely see it but on his belt, there's a light Bat-symbol which adds a nice little touch.

This definitely something you'll want to try to get your hands on. It originally sold $30 at MattyCollector. It's likely you'll be able to find one on eBay if you weren't able to attend SDCC and get one there.

Another item in the Batman '66 line is actually...a Barbie doll.

I'll admit, I never thought I'd be featuring a Barbie doll here. But if you look at it, how could I not?

As with the Batusi figure, it has a pretty cool box that will make you think twice about opening it.

It's also cool that they went with the classic Barbie look instead of the more modern one.

The doll comes with a certificate as it's part of the collector line.

It is a Barbie doll so it has cloth and plastic clothing. The little details in the accessory make it pretty cool as well. It also comes with a stand so if you do decide to remove her from the box, you can easily make her stand.

Her mask also comes off should you decide to remove it. The only real problem is her gloves look a little weird.

If you're a fan of Batman or Batman '66, you'll want to try to track these down. Even my daughter (who isn't really into Barbies) thought this Catwoman figure is cool (it's going to join her Monster High dolls).

Let us know what you thought of these. We'll be back with another spotlight next time.
