Im glad Lazarus is up for best new series. Truly one of the best books on the shelves.

Yeah. Love how the writer does the world building stuff in Lazarus. I breeze through the story of most issues and spend more time reading the extra material on the back of the book. Hope Lazarus wins best new series :D

Yeah disappointing Sorrentino didn't get nominated. The artwork in that has been groundbreaking. What a shame.

most overrated comic on the shelves... ya it was good in 2012.. but now lets be serious here

Agreed 100%

Lost interest in Hawkeye because of this. Use to be my favorite Marvel book but not anymore.

Yeah, this part right her.

Oh and I'm so glad to see Image owning the "Big 2", they totally deserve it.

Jordie Bellaire is an unsung hero, tbh. Her coloring can make a book and she's a freaking workhouse. Can't even count how many titles she's worked on in the last year.

I totally agree! Take Zero for example: if Jordie quits that book, cohesion from book to book will go down the drain as well. Her work speaks VOLUMES. Easily the hardest working gal in the industry, and I hope she wins.

Ahh yes... a CV Podcast listener.

If VAN JENSEN ever gets nominated for an Eisner... CV will probably explode! :D But yeah, tremendously happy that Jordie got nominated. I hope to get to meet her in-person (and in full-colour) one day.

Matt Fraction is getting a lot of love, but I'm really rooting for Kelly Sue DeConnick & Greg Rucka/Lazarus to win their respective categories.

Cool, I've actually read some of those. Except I've read Paul Pope's Battling Boy, I find it weird seeing in a tween section especially when I found more compelling than some of the "adult," comics. But so happy Francesco Francavilla's Black Beetle was nominated. EVERYBODY NEEDS TO READ IT!!

It is an absolute criminal shame that Superior Foes of Spider-Man wasn't nominated for anything, especially when Hawkeye gets nominated when it's only had one good issue since last May.

I guess the Eisner's have officially become like the Oscars and Emmys.

Greg Capullo, snubbed again. I feel he deserves it far more than Emma Rios, whose art is nice in Pretty Deadly but her action scenes are incomprehensible.

Batman doesn't deserve the 9s it gets IMO. And why someone would give a best series award to just another Batman origin, I mean when Wonder Woman or Green Arrow don't get a nomination I don't see why Batman should.
I agree about hawkeye, it is so hit or miss lately I am actually surprised it is there.
Cappulo isn't underrated he has a huge fanbase. The fact that he didn't get nominated THIS YEAR doesn't say much.
