Hercules
Arnold Schwarzenegger's very first film role was as mythological hero Hercules in 1970 movie Hercules in New York.
Conan
The movie what put Schwarzenegger on the map though was Conan the Barbarian in 1982, where he played the lead role of Conan himself. The Movie also received a sequel in Conan the Destroyer in 1984.
Terminator
Right after Conan movies, Arnold Schwarzenegger landed the role of the Terminator, T-800 in movie also named The Terminator. Although this character was a villain at first, the success of the movie lead into several sequels: Terminator 2: Judgment Day; Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines; Terminator Genisys; Terminator: Dark Fate. In those movies Arnold reprised his role of T-800 model sometimes as a reprogrammed good guy, sometimes still evil robot.
Kalidor
Arnold took a side role in Brigitte Nielsen lead movie Red Sonja, where he portrayed Lord Kalidor, a character quite similar to Conan.
John Matrix
Arnold played the special forces soldier John Matrix in the 1985 movie Commando, who was blackmailed to make a political assassination to save his daughter. He however waged a one-man war on the blackmailers and saved his daughter. The movie received a toyline which came with a promotional comic Schwarzenegger Commando, which retold the events of the movie.
Dutch
Arnold's role of Alan "Dutch" Schaefer in Predator (1987) is quite famous and is often parodied in comics. Arnold even voiced Dutch in the Predator: Hunting Grounds video game. Dutch character has a one panel appearance in the Predators Film Adaptation comic, where his encounter with the Predator is mentioned.
Douglas Quaid
Arnold portrayed Douglas Quaid in Total Recall, an adaptation of Philip K. Dick short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale". This movie received an official comic book adaptation by DC Comics. The movie later inspired a 4-issue miniseries by Dynamite Entertainment.
Mr. Freeze
Arnold's most comic based role can be counted as costumed villain Mr. Freeze in Joel Schumacher's 1997 movie Batman & Robin. The movie is famous for cringe puns of ice and cold delivered by Arnold.
Trench
Arnold portrays Trench in the Expendables franchise, appearing in: The Expendables, The Expendables 2, and The Expendables 3. His character doesn't make an appearance in the prequel comic The Expendables.
