    2. The Path of Souls - Young Bright-Sky-After-Storm is awakened in the middle of the night by his grandfather, shaman of the Quantauka. They go to a longhouse where a young girl lays dying. Before the night is out, the boy will learn much about life and death.

    This is the best issue of Arak in some time, and displays what is so great about this series. At the start of this issue, Arak and Satyricus arrive in Damaskos with their youthful companions where Arak envisions a giant flaming sword suspended over the city.The art is excellent, Randall and Magyar turn in some of their best work yet, with lots of half-page illustrations, and fast moving action panels. The writing, however, is superb; deftly blending traditional Eurasian mythology with the normal...
