Antiphon has been in this universe since it was young and he was the first to be given the responsibility of overseeing the living universe. He had always stood neutral on Diableri's stance against Galactus and it is unknown whether or not he was present at the battle between Galactus and the Proemial Gods. When Aegis and Tenebrous returned to the Kyln, where Galactus had imprisoned them, they found the body of Antiphon. The cause of his death is unknown; he may have died when the Annihilation wave destroyed the prison, but since Galactus and others have stated that only two of the Proemial Gods were imprisoned there, perhaps he was already dead when he was put inside the Kyln. He is believed to be the first Watcher.
