    Can you see it?

I can finally see it, where this book is going. I've loved each issue of All New but it has been a mystery to me where Bendis was taking us. With issue 5 I can see some of the makings and its exciting stuff. Issue 5 opens with us inside "Old" Hank McCoy`s head. He and Jean are having a talk and working on the issue of his health. The meat of the issue revolves around the event in the last issue`s final panel. At the same time the "classic" X-Men, sans Hank and Jean, are trying to figure out what to do, weather to go back home or try and resolve some of the issues going on with their elder selves. Jean says it should go to a vote and the decision is made.

It was a good story this issue but I am having trouble with one fact: young Scott is receiving a lot of negativity from almost everyone due to what his elder self has become. He is getting just as much blame as modern Scott for his decisions. The point in bringing the old team back was to try and show them what they become so they could strive to be better so give young Scott a chance. The story in this one is also a little weaker and slow going but still, fantastic issue and seeing as how I am a big Angel fan, seeing him question why no one is talking about him has me excited to see it when it happens.

When considering the art of this issue, what can not be said of Immonen. I love his work and each issue he is delivering the goods. I do think he is still trying to grasp his style on some of the characters as they don't look the same each panel, but that's something any artist would have to overcome. I hope he stays on the book as it continues to impress and his splash pages would do Jack Kirby proud. Immonen is a master of the splash technique and creates some gorgeous pages when he does so.

So what's the verdict? Buy this baby. It was a bit weak in the middle, but this issue is great and the series continues to wow with each issue. Keep it up fellas!

Although not necessarily the best series in the Marvel NOW! relaunches, it has been the one that I've been most interested in, and the one that I look most forward to reading. Brining the original X-Men to the present has turned out to be the best thing in this series, and it's that that keeps me coming back each issue for more.PlotThis issue sees the younger Beast attempt to save his future self, using Jean Grey's new telepathic powers to allow the future Beast to help him. Meanwhile Cyclops at...
